A PLACE TO GET TOGETHER, WITH ROOM FOR EVERYONE

Located in Aubazine, in the heart of the Corrèze countryside, Le Passadou welcomes families, groups of friends, hikers and small groups looking to spend a few days together in a peaceful, green setting.

The property is arranged a little differently from a traditional holiday home: your group has exclusive use of the entire accommodation building, with its bedrooms and dormitories. Just a few steps away, across the wooden terrace, a second building houses the kitchen and a large shared living area where you can cook, eat and spend time together.

This layout makes it easy to enjoy the stay as a group while still giving everyone the freedom to have their own space.

Le Passadou accommodates 11 guests in its standard layout and up to 13 guests on request.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Upstairs:

• one bedroom with a queen-size bed for 2 guests, with a private shower room and WC;
• a second bedroom with a queen-size bed for 2 guests, with a private bathroom including a bathtub and WC;
• one room with 3 single beds.

On the ground floor:

• one dormitory with 2 bunk beds, providing 4 sleeping places;
• one shower room with a shower and double washbasin;
• one separate WC, located at the end of the hallway.

The standard capacity is therefore 11 guests.

For larger groups, an additional ground-floor room can be prepared with a double bed for 2 guests, bringing the total capacity to 13 guests. This extra bedroom does not have its own bathroom or WC and must be requested when booking.

A KITCHEN TO PREPARE YOUR MEALS

A few metres from the accommodation building, simply cross the wooden terrace to reach the shared building.

During your stay, you can prepare your own meals using a kitchen equipped with:

• a refrigerator for your food;
• ceramic hobs;
• an oven;
• a microwave;
• a coffee maker;
• a kettle.

The kitchen is shared only with our family, who live on site. No other guests use it when the entire accommodation building is booked by your group.

A REAL SPACE TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER

In the same building, a large communal room gives the whole group somewhere to eat, play games, chat or simply spend time together.

The tables can be arranged to suit your group and joined together to create one large convivial dining table.

Armchairs also provide a quieter place to sit with a coffee, read or continue conversations later into the evening.

Between the two buildings, the wooden terrace naturally connects the different spaces and, in good weather, becomes an additional outdoor living area.

PLENTY OF SPACE OUTDOORS TOO

Le Passadou is surrounded by nature and generous outdoor space.

Children can play and run around, you can enjoy an impromptu game of football, eat outside, relax in the peaceful surroundings or put on your walking shoes and explore the nearby trails.

The property therefore works particularly well for groups who want to spend time together without everyone having to be in the same place all the time: some around the dining table, others relaxing in the armchairs or on the terrace, children playing outside… before everyone comes back together.

AUBAZINE: NATURE, HERITAGE AND WALKS CLOSE BY

You do not need to travel far to start exploring.

Aubazine is well known for its 12th-century Cistercian abbey and the remarkable Canal des Moines, a medieval water channel built into the hillside and extending for around 1.5 km.

The village is also home to an unusual Greek Melkite chapel with Byzantine-inspired frescoes.

The walking trails around Aubazine also lead through woodland and towards the small waterfalls of the Coiroux, offering an easy local outing combining water, forest and heritage.

A few kilometres away, you will also find the Parc du Coiroux, with its lake and outdoor leisure areas, as well as the Golf du Coiroux, set in a large natural environment and offering both an 18-hole course and a compact course.

Walkers will also appreciate the location: the Rocamadour Way in Limousin and Haut-Quercy passes approximately 300 metres from Le Passadou.

DISCOVER THE CORRÈZE COUNTRYSIDE

Le Passadou is also a convenient base for exploring southern Corrèze.

Within approximately 30 to 45 minutes by car, depending on the destination, you can visit several villages officially listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”:

• Collonges-la-Rouge, famous for its red sandstone houses and small castles;
• Turenne, a hilltop medieval village dominated by its castle;
• Curemonte, known for its three castles and historic houses;
• Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, beautifully situated on the banks of the Dordogne River.

Corrèze also offers many opportunities to enjoy rivers and waterfalls.

The Murel waterfalls, near Albussac, consist of three successive waterfalls in a wooded gorge, while at Gimel-les-Cascades, the River Montane drops through three impressive waterfalls over a total height difference of 143 metres.

These make excellent day trips for anyone looking for scenery, walking and nature.

Between characterful villages, forests, waterfalls, hiking trails, heritage sites and the Dordogne Valley, there is plenty to explore during your stay… or you may simply choose to stay at Le Passadou and enjoy the property itself.
