This one-of-a-kind home sits only steps away from Brandywine Creek. Boat House on the Brandywine's stone walls dates back to the 1800s. There is even a door that connects to a tunnel from Downingtown Manor, that was used as an Underground Railroad. Need a larger space?  Downingtown Manor can be found at 109 Manor and sleeps 10. Both locations are conveniently located close to several Chester County attractions as well as both Philadelphia and Lancaster.  Downingtown Manor is a separate rental.

Hi, we are Mark and Michele Myers and we have been together in Downingtown over 25 years.  We raised two beautiful daughters here, have 5 fantastic grandchildren and Mark is part of 5 generations of this town.  When these iconic homes became available we simply couldn't resist and hope you love them as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
This wonderful cottage is steeped in history and offers amazing views.  Full amenities include a full washer and dryer as well as a stocked kitchen so guests are able to relax and take in the surroundings.
What makes this property unique
*** WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY *** 
In the North East we could experience snow at any time from November to March or none at all. We don't want to shut the Boat House down but the access road at the present time is NOT plowable. If you choose to book this property from November 1st - March 31st and snow is expected, we will honor refunds up to the arrival day if you choose to cancel. If you choose NOT to cancel and inclement weather is expected, no refunds will be issued after your arrival and you do so at your own risk. We can not plow the access road but you are within walking distance to town.
