Private deep water dock w/covered slip, large outdoor deck w/gas grill, firepit, shuffleboard, covered outdoor ping pong, kayak, water play pads and life jackets! Relax with stunning lake views from the rocking chairs or hammock on the huge screened porch or cozied up by the living room fireplace flanked by picture windows. 10 min to downtown Hiawassee!

Adventure awaits! North GA and Western NC abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 45-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina (contact us for a recommendation) or bring your own (please note, no trailers can enter the neighborhood). On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 35-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) just a 20-minute drive from the property. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

The kitchen was so well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and glassware. The dining room table top was extremely sticky and soap suds didn’t remove it. Perfect size for 4 couples! Lots of games to play on our one rainy day - especially corn hole under the porch.

Incredible house! I booked this house for my husband’s 40th birthday and invited friends to celebrate. We had a blast playing on the lake and cooking meals in the kitchen and on the grill. So grateful for the experience! Highly recommend!

Relaxing vacation

This house was absolutely stunning! Everything was spotless—the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms—you could tell it was really well cared for. The kitchen had everything I needed and more, with great utensils and a super functional setup. I especially LOVED the dock and spending time on the back porch—so peaceful and relaxing! I had such an amazing vacation here and would come back in a heartbeat!

Great for a family lake getaway!

This house was perfect for our family group of six, ages 19-80. We loved all the opportunities to be outside—the dock, the huge screened porch, the deck, the fire pit area and more. The house was spotless and the kitchen well stocked, although the dishwasher badly needs replacement. The neighborhood was attractive and a grocery store was within a reasonable distance.

The house is laid out very well. It is spacious and comfortable. The options for the covered/screened porch vs. the open deck is nice. The house smelled very clean and the showers are hot! And, it is in a nice neighborhood. The location is convenient to the boat launch, and the dock provided was spacious and sturdy. We would absolutely consider coming again! Thank you!

Long weekend family getaway

We stayed here with another family and was very pleased with everything. The location is great with a deep water dock that we could keep the boat at for a few days which we rented from Boundary Waters. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect to have the adults stay upstairs and the kids downstairs. There was plenty do to with ping pong, shuffleboard, connect four, loads of puzzles and games. The kitchen was very well stocked. The owners also provided lily pad for the lake, life vests, and skis, which was an awesome surprise. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend this home to anyone and we have already talked about renting for next summer.

Our stay was great, property manager was great, house is awesome. Our only complaint is the fishing was bad. Obviously this isn't something the owner or manager could control. If we'd caught fish the rating would've been 5 stars. I would highly suggest a boat is

Retirement Getaway

Wonderful Home on the Lake

This really is a lovely home on the lake. Great views of the lake from the house. Large and comfortable living room, tons of games. Huge covered and screened porch, large outdoor deck with grill, and nice dock to swim off of. Basement garage has kayak, water pad, floats, life jackets and more. Boundary Waters Marina is very close by for boat rental. Couldn't ask for more!

We all loved this house. It was perfect place perfect setting we loved the screened in outdoor porch. We loved all the room. The only thing that I would change would be to add more parking. But we will be booking this again it was awesome

Relaxing time on the lake

This was our 2nd visit to this Home on Lake Chatuge. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It even had toys for the lake that we enjoyed!! The views from the front of the house were amazing! We love this lake and have enjoyed our time on and off the lake. Thanks for letting us stay!

Family Vacation

Great week at this property. Everything about this place was awesome except for the neighbors dog who barked at us incessantly while we we on the deck. That was only a minor issue though. The scenery was breathtaking. We will definitely book this property again.

Driveway is very small to fit 2 cars and steep. Luckily I lived in a house with a very steep driveway so I was used to it. Lake was great. House was great.

Perfect lake getaway

I can’t overstate how awesome the covered driveway and paved pathway to the dock is. It rained on our drive up, so not having to get out of the car in the rain or tromp through mud to go fishing is PRICELESS. This home is generously appointed, from fishing poles to puzzles. For my aging parents and sister with special needs, having two bedrooms on the main level was perfect. The only thing missing was the darn fish!!

Very Pleasant

This was a good location to just get away and unwind. Town is just a few minutes away. Nice view of the lake with the mountains in the background. Was very clean. Be careful with the hot water because it is extremely hot. The only issue was the front door. You do have to turn the knob and key some so it will unlock. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for peace and quiet.
