The property was great for spending time with the family. The lake lot is one of the best . It has amazing views , more parking than usual for a lake house and it is more private than most from the neighbors because of how the lot kinda sticks out on a point with trees on both sides blocking the neighbors but not the views. The house has a very nice dock and is centraly located close to town. I would stay again.
This was the second time we have stayed and look forward to staying again. It is close to everything and extremely clean. We slept great and so did our grandson. The beds were comfortable and just as we remembered from our visit back in the spring. We look forward to staying again possibly in the winter.
From beginning to end we had great communication with the hosts and were in love with the lakehouse. We rented a pontoon boat for 3 of the 5 days and loved cruising around the lake and eating at the marina and other local restaurants. The only downside to the property were the beds. The mattresses were not as comfortable as we are used to, but overall we were very pleased with everything else on the property.
What a great location! We had so much fun. This was our first time staying at Chatuge and after renting a boat for a day we didn't see too many homes with the lakefront and ammenities this home has. We'll definitely be back and would recommend to others!

Beautiful views
I would love to give this property the same 5 star rating that others gave because we had a great time in hiawasee. The house was nice but filthy. There were dead bugs on dusty window sills, spider webs with spiders, and musty smelling sheets on extremely hard beds. The grass appeared not to have been cut for weeks as it was in full seed mode. We felt as though we were in a tent atmosphere not a home. There were glaring safety issues, no smoke detectors, second floor deck rails space enough for a small child to slip through and extremely steep stairs. We had 2 small children and were very concerned about these issues. Although I loved the Hiawasee location we will not return to this space for these reasons.
This property is absolutely fantastic the sunsets are nothing short of majestic ✨️. Deb the homeowner was very pleasant and let us know this home has been in her family since the 60s
You can feel the love and memories bestowed upon this house over all the decades.
The veiw from the den makes it seem you are literally on the water its gorgeous..
My grandchildren loved playing in the water and the very spacious yard ..
We couldn't have found a better place in a more beautiful setting 😍 10 out of 10 ...
Mediocre house with small bedrooms on phenomenal Lake front property!
We loved our stay at this house, but mostly for the outside spaces. They are unmatched on the lake. Full deck with table and chairs with shade trees is where we spent a lot of our time. THe two level dock is the most loved space with shade somewhere at all times of the day. I selected this house b/c the walk down to the water was very gradual with just a few steps for the grandparents. The shade available was also a HUGE reason for choosing this property. You can tell the house is older. Entrance is evidently the old living room, but is dark and depressing and I never found myself wanting to be in there AT ALL.
Kitchen cabinets smelled a little musty, but well-equipped. The upstairs bedrooms were extremely small. No designated master bedroom/bathroom suite. The bulky log furniture would have been better replaced with minimal furnishings to allow more space to move around in the bedrooms and feel less cluttered. However, I get folks wanting the "log home cabin" theme, just not a lot of room for it in this house. Decorations are also too much. However, this property basically feels like you're staying on a peninsula with 270 degree views of the lake and it is spectacular. Phenomenal location. With a few house upgrades, this would be a location I would want to come to every year. If you plan to spend most of your time outside, this is the place for you.
We were pleased with the neighborhood of Cedar Cliffs and the house was literally lakeside with great views. The house was clean and lots of comfortable places to enjoy the view from. We plan on returning.
The views from the decks of this property are absolutely gorgeous. The location is awesome. A short boat ride to the marina for dinner was exactly what we were looking for. Very quiet location and enjoyed the large sectional in the family room for movie night.
The property has some of the best lake access available. Huge double decker dock with a large swim platform and deep large water area to swim in. Great fishing all round the property. The house was updated, nice kitchen, 3 bedrooms upstairs and a great room for the family to watch TV in at night. Host responded to any questions or concerns right away, great communication. Don't hesitate to book a trip.
Our second year at this house. Perfect for our family of 5. We enjoyed swimming, skiing, fishing and lots of family fun on the dock. We ate many outdoor meals on the deck with a wonderful view. Would rent again
View is great! Very comfortable and quiet. We had a very good vacation.

GOLFER-STAY
Older lake house on million dollar property generally well-appointed/updated. Basement bedroom with it's own bath is fine once you're there BUT access is either from outside OR amusement park -level spiral stairway in corner of LR..wow! Great two level dock for swimming/fishing/sunsets.
This was a perfect get away for wife and me. It was calm and relaxing and in a great location. Three days after we came back my wife sent me a text through out the day saying "I miss the lake house". We went in the winter so there wasn't a lot of activity on the lake. It really is a great place.
From the time you open the door upon arrival, untill our last day it has been an amazing time. Peacefulness, tranquility and very cozy, thank you for allowing my family to make memories during Thanksgiving this year. May you be blessed beyond measure
House was great - cozy with very lake retreat furnishings. House was well equipped. The dock was wonderful. We enjoyed swimming, canoeing, fishing, paddle boarding, and just relaxing. The view from the wrap around deck was the best. Enjoyed eating our meals there. Hope to return in the future.
