Rivera Beach area is not safe!!
Would not recommend this property /.We did not hear from the agency on check-in, after entering we looked around. Smells musty. Kitchen faucet was ready to fall off. The door locks were not secure, looses knobs. When we came back from dinner the street area had police activity. We felt very unsafe we left the next day. Shame on the property owner.

Not what we expected for price
The inside of the property was clean, closet in master bedroom is large with hangers provided. Stocked with some coffee/sugar & a few spices. Has plenty of silverware/plates/coffee mugs. Owner should consider adding some ice cube trays to the freezer. Shampoo/conditioner/bath & hand towels provided. Property is older & has a few things you should be aware of...this property is not in the best of areas, but is close to activities/some shopping & restaurants. Standouts were Two Drunken Goats & Mulligans for lunch/dinner & we also had a great time snorkeling Peanut Island. The ferry to the island is close to this property. Property has one small parking space available. Extremely small front yard. Photo in listing makes it look much larger than it is. The house to the right of this property is abandoned & has a bee infestation. Back porch has a small sitting area with grill & market lighting, but was difficult to enjoy because of the mosquito problem. I'd suggest fogging the backyard or, at least, having some bug spray available. Owner needs to address the curtain rods in every room. You can't pull the curtains shut without the entire rod shifting or coming completely apart in the middle. The front door lock needs to be addressed, too. Doesn't shut well. Toilet is very low pressure. Had to unclog twice during our stay. Check in & out process was smooth & owner is easy to get a hold of. Property needs some updating & decor improvements.

Why they chose this property

Steps away from the cottage is Phil Foster Park where you can snorkel, sit at the beach to relax, take a water taxi or kayak over to Peanut Island.

The top attractions to visit in Riviera Beach are:
Peanut Island Park
Phil Foster Park - walking distance
Ocean Reef Park
Riviera Municipal Beach- 2 minutes a way
Peanut Island Water Taxi
PGA Village & Mets Spring training

Just over the intracoastal is Singer Island. Singer Island Fishing Is Fantastic Year-Round. Singer Island fishing is among the best in the United States. Nowhere does fertile Gulf Stream current come closer to the mainland than along Palm Beach County. In fact, the southern tip of Singer Island is the easternmost point of Florida.

What makes this property unique

West Palm Beach attractions
City Place, the Kravis Center, Clematis Street, and the Palm Beach Outlet Mall are all popular attractions in West Palm Beach. Shopping, restaurants, a few good pubs, an Improv, and a movie theater can all be found in City Place. It is open air, so when the weather is great, it may be a lovely location to wander and shop

THINGS TO DO
Find your playful side while exploring the diversity of things to do in South Florida. Create new family memories when you get up close to 1,000-plus animals as you drive through Lion Country Safari or meet animals of the tropics at the Palm Beach Zoo. Scream at the top of your lungs when you experience that “zero-g feeling” riding Big Thunder at Rapids Water Park. After the thrills, be sure to let the family experience some Florida history and panoramic scenery at the historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum.
For those that love to play in the sun, this is where you’ll find the most adventuresome things to do in Florida. Start the day watching the sun rise out of the Atlantic from peaceful Delray Beach atop your stand-up paddleboard. For some real adventure, get up close to gators on a Florida Everglades airboat tour with Airboat Rides West Palm Beach, or come face to face with moray eels while diving at Blue Heron Bridge, one of Florida’s best SCUBA diving sites. And no Florida getaway is complete without a round of golf in The Palm Beaches at one of more than 160 golf courses in Florida’s Golf Capital.
After hours, West Palm Beach attractions lure you out to let loose and play in the tropics. Hit the boutiques and national brand shops at The Square and then hop on the free trolley to Clematis Street, where the warm ocean air makes walking between The Palm Beaches’ best nightspots a breeze — literally. Enjoy a craft cocktail at the vintage-themed gastropub The Alchemist and then dance at the beach house-inspired club, Camelot.
