My Favorite on The River
We have rented several properties along the river and this is my favorite now. Really beautiful property. Nice updates inside and pleasing decor. Very roomy with lots of space for family. Modern appliances and lots of seating in kitchen area.
We had breakfast every morning on the river facing patio on the main level and it was awesome. Very quiet area and great views. The 2 islands across from this property and this part of the river in general are loaded with wildlife. Lots of different birds and ducks. You will definitely hear and see blackbird and quail. We saw large flights of turkey vultures as well. The islands are home to several raccoons, but you won’t see them until after dark or early in the morning. They are also excellent swimmers!
We found fishing to be challenging in this biome due to the shallow sections and fast current between the property and the islands. However, the main body of the river in this area offers some of the best fishing on the river. It’s recommended to check the Davis Dam release schedule if you plan to do anything on the water.
Our host and property manager were great and made check in and check out easy. Highly recommend.
