Good location
Good location, but the property was in bad shape and was dirty. No coffee or filters.

Good home base for exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor
Pros- convenient location, about 1 mile to downtown Bar Harbor and very close to Acadia entrances. House was as described. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had enough serving ware and cooking utensils. Fridge is brand new. Grill worked. TV is large and easy to stream from your own platforms. Large, comfy couch and adequate lighting. AC worked well. Supplies (paper products, cleaning supplies) were more than adequate. Spacious and quiet. Washing machine and dryer were unexpected bonus! Cons- There are no window shades to block out sunlight in the bedroom windows! This is a major oversight that needs to be remedied. I was exhausted from waking with the rising sun at dawn each day. Also, the cleaning job was not sufficient. The spare room on the top floor has unsealed cracks between the window AC and the window frame, so MANY insects were able to get into the room- and did! There were smeared bugs on the walls and ceiling when we arrived; I would expect this in a rustic cabin, not a VRBO house. My daughter had constant mosquitos, spiders, and even bees come into her room through those cracks. There are many amateur cosmetic fixes (holes, dents, shoddy plaster repair, wall lamps that hang loosely in master bedroom) that aren’t critical, but contribute to a feeling of a slightly sub-par vacation environment, and which could be easily remedied. Lastly, the shower stalls are tiny and cramped. Be aware of this if you are a bigger person.

A beautiful Acadia home
An excellent spacious, clean and comfortable 3 BR ( plus an attic bed) home with an equipped kitchen, a good sized living room in a very convenient location just a couple miles from downtown Bar Harbor and quick access by back roads to the park entrance Loved our stay and would highly recommend This home can easily accommodate a total of 7people including kids A nice backyard for chilling and barbecue and in-house washer and dryer Every room including living room has an A/ C unit or fan or both Will definitely return

Pros and Cons
We had a great time on our visit to Bar Harbor and this place is in a great location. The house is spacious, we had lots of privacy and the washer and dryer were super helpful. A couple of downsides to note - overall the place needs some maintenance. We learned it’s used for student rentals in the off season and this makes sense for the general condition of it. The rugs are older and stained and bugs get in around the a/c units. The kitchen isn’t well stocked, be prepared to bring or buy basics like salt and pepper, sponges, coffee filters. Finally, the responsiveness of the management wasn’t great. We had internet and TV issues when we arrived and no one got back to us until late the next day. For what we paid, I wouldn’t stay here again.
