This cabin was truly wonderful - we were looking for a base camp to go explore Mt St Helens and we could not have found any better. Wonderful, upscale cabin with all the necessities. Comfy beds (great after hiking!), fully outfitted kitchen and bbq for grilling. The view was breathtaking and the hot tub was the cherry on the top. This property is the perfect luxury gateway. Our family loved it!

Magical mountain lodge. Off-grid, but it has every amenity. Gorgeous views. Remote, private and luxurious. The owners were welcoming and responded immediately to any questions. Kid friendly which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend. Extremely private.
We had an amazing girls' trip at this perfect, secluded location. The home was fully equipped for all our cooking needs, and the coffee machine was a real treat, especially for our early morning sunrise watchers. We loved the music system, spacious seating, and relaxing hot tub—everything was just incredible. Communication with the host was easy and clear, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also took a short drive to hike to Lower Lewis Falls, which was absolutely worth it. This off-the-grid home is a must-visit, and we hope to make it back again!
Wow, just wow! This cabin was even more impressive than the photos in every way. The peaceful setting, million dollar views, craftsmanship of the space, amenities galore, the list goes on. There were many recreational activities listed in their host binder, but we spent most of our time enjoying the views from the outdoor BBQ area. The kids LOVED the bunk room and adults appreciated the two master suites! Super comfortable beds! Shelby and Chris have thought of everything to make your stay beyond enjoyable. We hope to return again soon, this cabin is an absolute gem.
My family of five stayed in this cabin. We use this cabin as a venue for our wedding for 50 people. The guests all said that this is the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to. It was the most spectacular place to gather a group of us together to celebrate our marriage! There was plenty of space for everyone and had everything we needed there. The kids love running around the property and the adults couldn’t get enough of how beautiful the house and view was! It was so private and stunning and accommodating. Our guests and I also enjoy the lakes trails and nearby outdoor activities. This is a great spot if you are throwing an event or just bringing your family to enjoy what the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

We had the best weekend at the Pine Creek Cabin! Everything was perfect and seamless. Communication from the hosts is excellent, the house was incredibly well stocked and everyone in town, including the neighbors, was very friendly. I read their only two non-five star reviews and wonder if those people have ever rented a vacation house before. I am in a VRBO at least once every three months and have stayed in dozens over the years, and this was by FAR the best rental I have ever had. No you're not going to have cell service once you're off the property - that's because you're in the middle of the most stunning wilderness in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and maybe its a good time to put the phone down and be with your people. We had everything we needed at the house or in close proximity and if you're thinking about booking do it soon - we are all planning to return and I've shared the listing with several friends, so book now before we snatch it up!

Not maintained, broken hot tub, aggressive neighbors
The property has a lot of potential but we had a myriad of issues. We got locked out of the main gate not once but twice due to neighbors that don't want a VRBO there. This was our wedding weekend and having angry neighbors refusing to let a few guests in was unacceptable. The hot tub was plugged up so it wouldn't heat up and smelled due to improper maintenance. The only exterior electrical outlet was broken which we needed for the DJ. Oh, and the inverters which power the WiFi aren't designed or connected properly. Future guests beware! There's no cell reception up there so having reliable WiFi to contact the owner about constant issues is pretty crucial!

We are sadden by your review - since we were accommodating as much as we could and felt like we were very responsive to all your texts or calls.
We apologize you had a few issues, the gate problem feels like it was mishandled but we have been on top of communicating to future guests and also the property owners around us.
The hot tub has worked and had no issues so that is what it is, the chemicals and cleaner were in the cabin cleaning closet like stated via a text to you.
Also it’s off grid in the middle of the woods, also started in the listing, we apologize for any service issues. We do provide Starlink internet and we can only do so much to accommodate any phone service issues. We did check electrical plug ins and noticed it was tripped maybe because of the DJ’s volume of power, this is an off grid spot that runs off a generator. I assume the DJ was able to make something work tho since it wasn’t stated that you had to cancel them, we apologize and hope you have no issues in your future bookings.

Zero cell coverage, No locking doors, Odd Access
The house and location was beautiful. Great space, great views, great finishes, etc. My family (spouse + 3 kids) + parents visiting from out of town were looking for a home base for two nights near Mount St Helens to take a break from Seattle.
The house is ~45 minutes from the closest restaurant / store, and ~60 minutes off the interstate. Nobody in our group had Verizon cell phone coverage, but we could access the home Starlink wifi once we arrived.
Based on the check-in instructions, there were supposed to be two access road gates each with a lock box holding a key. When we arrived, both gates were open and neither had a key. Based on messages with the owner, the cleaner *may* have taken the keys and left the gates open. Once you arrive at the house, all the doors were open, and it was not possible to lock them without keys--which was odd given we were so remote.
For that reason, we packed all of our belongings in the car when we left for the second day. Unfortunately when we got about a mile down the road (no more connectivity), the gate was now locked, but the lockbox which I opened with the provided code was still empty. We were literally trapped until a fire inspector happened to let us out. I messaged the owner asking for a refund for the second night given we could not risk coming back. She offered to have a neighbor let me in (no connectivity though?), but then stopped replying.

We do want to point out that we were quick to respond and get back to you with all the help to problem solve. This area is safe and sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the rest of your stay at the cabin
This is a phenomenal home and is extremely high quality and well appointed
Everything was as described and met iur expectations.
The home is off grid bit the sat wifi worked great for pur entire stay.
I strongly recomend this home and will be back soon!
We got SO lucky!!!!!!!!! We booked this house to go explore the Ape Caves and do some near by hikes but instead our family spent most of the time at the house sledding!!!!! The home has a perfect hill out back and we spent hours outside with a fire in the outdoor fireplace to get warmed up by! The owners were so helpful with us getting in and up to the house with the snow being so deep and the weather conditions we didn't realize would hit so hard up there. Highly recommend this place for any folks who like the snow shoe, sled and I assume snow mobile cause there is a snow park near. Great stay and well worth it! One thing I would point out is that you do need a AWD car or truck to visit since the driveway is quite steep and adding the snow makes it a bit more complicated.
This property is in such a neat spot and we felt so unplugged from the busy city life!
The living room was so great in the evenings to chill out with the fireplace going and play board games with our family. We were anxiously hoping for snow so we will definitely be booking another stay so we can experience that, the house has a perfect sledding hill my children want to enjoy.
One thing I would plan is to eat in the house or plan to drive about 25 minutes to the town of Cougar.. but the town shuts down by 8pm so I am very glad we planned food for our days at the cabin since there isn’t a convenient place to get any groceries or nearby eating places.
We had such a great time at Mount Saint Helen’s Cabin!! Chris and Shelby are the sweetest people who make you feel right at home at their relaxing getaway! They were very personable and accommodating at the drop of a hat if we needed anything! The cabin was a getaway in and of itself, and the views were absolutely breathtaking! The cabin is situated on top of a hill overlooking a valley, eye-level with other mountains across from it and Mount Saint Helens behind it! My husband and I felt so refreshed staying in such a peaceful space! Everything was clean and very inviting and overall so restful! Shelby and Chris really thought of everything and even included a binder with places to explore nearby, and they were available for questions in helping my husband and I plan out our adventures, since we were totally newbies to the Washington area.
The only note I would say for those out-of-towners like us is that there really isn’t a lot of food options nearby, so I would come prepared or make a grocery run before getting settled in.
The most beautiful lake right across the street, and mt saint Helen’s is majestically displayed from the hill right behind the cabin, and mt Adams can be seen from inside!!
Overall, our stay was amazing and completely topped our stays elsewhere, making this one for the books!! Can hardly wait to visit Washington again! Thank you, Chris and Shelby for opening your beautiful cabin for memories we’ll cherish for years to come!!
Pine Creek Cabin was more than what we expected! It was so quite there and we saw so many deer just walking around the property. The house was perfectly set up for us and it had all the supplies we needed. The kitchen was immaculate for being an “off grid” set up. It had a dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge, coffee maker and BBQ.. literally everything we needed was there! We took a 45-50 minute drive up to Windy Ridge and got to see Mt St Helens up and close and it was just beautiful!
I would love to come stay again in early summer or late spring to enjoy the greenery but also be able to make a trip down the lake and take out our boat more on the lake. I also know Ape Caves was another 30-45 mins away but we didn’t have enough time to see it all! The cabin has a convenient binder with local hikes etc so when we come back I’d love to hit some of the spots nearby.
We had a question about the generator being off and the owners were so quick to response to help, but knowing we were off grid we were totally accommodating with those kind of things.. Also the Wi-Fi is a great addition! Thank you Pine Creek Cabin it was so lovely!
