The Owl's Nest- Holland Beach House, private beach, remote work ready

Welcome to Holland Beachfront Living! Our beachfront home offers sprawling back decks for outdoor enjoyment and plenty of indoor space to spread out in this 4000 square foot beachfront oasis. Home has 3 gathering spaces: a large great room, a kitchen/dining/living space that is completely open, as well as a lower level family/game room with kitchenette. Views of the lake are magnificent and sunsets are plentiful. House is wired with high speed internet to accommodate remote work with hotspots on 3 levels of the home and near the crow's nest, to make all 4 levels ready for access.

The Beach: Directly off the back porch are private stairs leading down to the beach. Situated on a medium bluff, there are 48 steps on the newly built staircase to get down to the 50' private beach. Please note, on the south end of the property there are additional stairs that we share with 8 homes that don't have direct beach access so they can walk along the shore.

Location: The house is just 12 minutes from downtown Holland, 500 feet from the Lakeshore Drive walk/bike path, 1.5 miles from Riley Trail Park, and 30 minutes from Douglas/Saugatuck. The location can't be beat, close proximity to all the amenities you would want while still offering a quiet beach getaway.

The un-fun stuff: No pets, no parties, no using the fireplaces or indoor grill, no blocking the neighbor's turn-around access to our driveway. Maximum 6 cars. The house has outdoor cameras to monitor the home when we are not there along with a security system, both are required by our insurance and cannot be disconnected for any reason. While we are so happy to share our home with renters this season, there are a few doors and cabinets that will remain locked for owner's belongings. Please show respect and not try to enter those spaces.

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay this last weekend!! We were celebrating my birthday with my hubby and kids and this place was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy some time together!! Everything was so clean and we had everything we could have needed for our stay!! House is spacious and very clean!! We would enjoy staying here again in the future!!!

Lovely home and location

Our joint family recently stayed at the owl’s nest and had a wonderful time. The layout of the home is conducive to large groups as there are big gathering spaces but also separate communal rooms for folks to break off. Getting into town was easy (about a 10 min drive) and we were able to receive DoorDash/Instacart for a meal delivered in or a missed grocery item. The owner Lauren was very communicative throughout the stay as well. Would highly recommend.

Hollanders come home

Our family has stayed along Lake Michigan in the Holland area many times. If you're looking for a very recently renovated, well appointed and stocked place for a family that loves the summer lake life - the Owl's Nest is the place for you. Great House in Great Location

Five adults and five kids comfortably stayed in this spacious, clean house in a wonderful location with a beautiful beach. The host has gone above-and-beyond to provide everything you need to have a fun stay for all. We have vacationed in Holland for years and being able to rent this house was a real treat. Large and separated living spaces allows you to hang with everybody in one space or split into adult/kid rooms if you want to kick back separately. Also, if you are looking to work-from-vacation, the setup could not be better, complete with reliable Wifi and even a sit/stand adjustable desk. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home…but not the beach

Lovely renovation on this home! High end all the way! My only criticism would be all of the old wood and metal rods on the beach as well as the rotting see wall with dangerous metal rods sticking out. That was odd and disappointing considering how much care they have put into the home renovation.

Our family enjoyed our week long stay at the Owl’s nest. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, knives, cutlery, plates etc. The bedrooms have wonderful mattresses with top quality linens. The views from deck are beautiful and inspiring! There was a very slight issue with the oven in the kitchen which we notified Lauren about. Lauren responded quickly and issue was resolved within a few hours, and this was late afternoon on a Sunday! We recommend the Owls nest highly and would love to rent it again!

Fabulous!!!!!

This home is outstanding, beautiful, clean and full of supplies for a wonderful vacation! Our family of 6 adults and 5 children (ages 3-7) loved every moment staying in The Owl’s Nest. We cooked our dinners most nights, so we could enjoy the well equipped open kitchen with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed sunsets from the deck, access to a private beach with beach equipment, two comfortable large screen TV rooms, comfortable beds, and so much more! The description and pictures are accurate, but amazing to experience and enjoy in person. This was our first trip to Holland. The Owl’s Nest gave us a memorable, pleasant and enjoyable week! The host was very accommodating and gave a quick response to questions about the property. Very difficult to end our vacation week. I highly recommend this wonderful home!!

Direct beach access, as advertised, with beach chairs and some toys for the family. The house was clean, with ample space, including a balcony and a deck, plus an outdoor table on the ground level. This home is immaculate, comfortable, well-stocked and beautifully designed. Everything we needed was on hand. The lake views from the bluff and the upper deck are just gorgeous and the sound of the waves lulled us to wonderful daily naps! An exceptional rental.

Sunsets and Meteors

Not only is this beach house beautiful on the inside (updated listing photos well represent reality), the views on the lake facing side are incredible (and we're not newbies)! This is the kind of property I wish I could find to purchase, ideally situated and worthy of the reno/updates that appear to be ongoing. No complaints, just be advised the neighborhood beach access path/stairs are immediately adjacent to the side of this house, so you'll see/hear the occasional rush of youngsters, but we did not find this a problem. Actually added to the Summer Vaca ambience! We all felt like kids again after a few days at Owl's Nest!

Perfect!

This cottage was redone to perfection! From the decor, to the stocked kitchen, to the comfortable beds, and beautiful bathrooms I would live there year round. Everything you need is already there, the view is amazing and Lauren responded to us right away and was helpful and kind. We will be back next year!

Great place!

We really enjoyed our gathering for the week. The house is clean and has multiple family friendly items, such as, games, toys and books. The rooms are updated and comfortable. There are many bathrooms, which really accommodated our stay. The view is amazing, and we love the beach. Also, the owner was friendly and helpful. The only inconvenience is the early check out time is at 9:30, which is a bit of a rush in the morning. However, we had a blast overall during our stay.
