We loved our stay in the Sandpiper cottage. The location was perfect and very walkable to shops and restaurants. The cottage had a really nice little kitchen with everything we needed. The living /bedroom area and bathroom were great too, We brought our dog and it was very pet friendly. We would not hesitate to book again next time we are in the area,
First of all, the communication was off the charts. Almost immediate response time which was greatly appreciated. Every little touch of this cottage was perfectly done. We cannot wait to stay here again.
The cottage was super cute and easy stroll into the heart of town. Also it was dog friendly so we were able to bring our pup. Heads up though although Ogunquit claims to be dog friendly they are not allowed on beaches and most of the properties spray the grass with harmful chemicals. We ended up mostly leaving him in the cottage which was well prepared for our furry friends!
Loved the cottage it was cozy and very well decorated. All communication was excellent and location was perfect. The only thing I would say is that the cleaning crew was not as detailed as it should have been. A dehumidifier would have been nice. But over all I rate this a four star.
We found Sandpiper cottage just as described, cozy and comfortable in an excellent location, perfect for the two of us to have a wonderful few days in Ogunquit. It is small but not too small for two adults, and the bed was very comfortable. Having a full kitchen is a big bonus, so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. It was great to be able to park the car on the property and walk to town and to the beach, saving the cost of parking and only needing to drive one evening to go to a restaurant more than a few miles away. Walter thoughtfully sent a message to see how everything was going, and let us know that he was available if we had any questions or concerns. We’re so happy to have found this place and we’re planning to stay here again next time we visit!
We enjoyed our stay in Ogunquit at your cottage. The location was superb, the furnishings comfortable, and our dog enjoyed sunning himself.
No serious concerns, but some quirks:
We didn't know if there were existing pantry items provided, so we acquired them from the local Hannaford. But, would suggest having some basics available, such as sugar and inexpensive spices.
The instruction booklet for the cottage seemed to be for a different property, based on some of the references.
We had trouble with the TV. We understood that you wouldn't have a cable subscription, but we couldn't get the Roku remote to work, even after changing batteries, and we didn't want to open a YouTube subscription to watch local channels. On the plus side, we discovered we could get most of what we wanted to watch on our laptop and iPad.
You mentioned the construction next door, and the guys working on the house were very considerate, notifying us aout making noise, and also, considerate about moving their cars/trucks away if they were close to our car. Again, not a big problem as we walked into town most of the time. We also had nice conversations with John, the owner of the third cottage and the woman who owns Maine House and will be moving into the house being constructed.
We recommend the cottage to others who would like quick access to the town by foot, and the very good restaurants literally right outside the door. The surrounding neighborhood (Windward) is great for walking.
This small studio was bigger inside than it appears outside. Tastefully decorated, there are also cards and games provided. The kitchen is adequately supplied. It is set in a nice, quiet neighborhood but is just a short walk to the bustle of Ogunquit.
We enjoyed our stay! Cottage was in excellent condition and a very short walk to the main strip and the beach. Walter is very responsive to any questions.
Awesome location! 3 min walk to town, and not far from the beach! The cottage was super cute and perfect for our vacation to Maine. Walter responded and communicated immediately. We will be back!
