About this property

On 127 Yard Sale Route. Experience nature or horseback riding trails in the area

Come and delight in the peace and quiet of the country, enjoy the scenic mountains, nature and historic sites. The original owner was a preacher, and he performed many weddings in the house.
Nestled in the mountains of the Cumberland Plateau is the 25-acer farm, Plateau Breeze. Plateau Breeze Farm located directly off 127 highway 25 miles from I-40. The house offers 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 full, 2 twin beds) each with a private bath. TVs in the full and twin bedrooms allows guest to watch their own movies. During your stay you may see an array of wildlife. Deer, opossum, skunk, raccoon and red fox have been seen rambling through the field. Never approach or try to feed the wildlife. Many different birds can be spotted at the farm. Hopefully, you will get to see the large redheaded woodpecker. One can see what it did to the stump at the back of the house near the fence.

First time 127 Yard Tripers.
We stayed at Plateau Breeze while we went on the 127 yard sale. It was the perfect spot for the location. We were able to go to the areas of the yard sale we wanted and return to the VRBO if needed during the day. The home was clean, had plenty of linens, and the owner checked in with us before our arrival to make sure we had what we needed. Would most definitely stay again.

Nice place
We were in town for a funeral and needed a place for several people to stay. This place was perfect. Close to Jamestown, and a full bath on each bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped with everything to cook a basic meal. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great little place in a central location for the area.
We needed a last minute place to stay in order to attend a funeral. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Though we are a large family, we utilized the space well. The only minor drawback is the small kitchen. But that’s negligible. Master bedroom was fantastic. Would recommend.

My husband had grown up on a farm in Fentress County. I was from Georgia and a city girl. We met when we were teenagers because I came to stay with my grandmother for a while who lived in Jamestown. We had so many good times together going frog gigging and attending the county fairs. At the end of the visit, I went back to Georgia, and we went our separate ways. However, as fate would have it, we reconnected and married.
We were from two different worlds. He was a farmer and owned and operated several shoe stores for 30 years. I was an educator then went back to school and earned my RN license and now I’m a farmher. My husband wanted to teach me how to farm and I was an excited student to learn everything about farming. We had chickens and enjoyed fresh eggs, raised 10 cows on bottles, grew 10,000 strawberry plants one year, grew 700 hemp plants on year and enjoyed a garden every year. Learning to farm has been an exciting seven years.
It’s time for a new chapter. Although we are older, we are not ready to give up the farm. It has many precious memories for our sunset years. Hopefully, others can come visit and enjoy.

Why they chose this property

Plateau Breeze was the perfect place to start a new life together and enjoy the sunset years close to nature and wildlife. It has helped me to appreciate how hard farming really is. I will never complain about the price of strawberries again. The farm has been a blessing.

What makes this property unique

Plateau Farm offers a laid-back environment with good water, clean air and located in a friendly and safe community with quick access to I-40. The farm provides the peacefulness of the country without the hustle and bustle of the city, yet convenient to the cities of Knoxville and Nashville for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The best of both worlds.
