This place was amazing. Big enough for a family of 8 adults and 4 kids. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. The house was clean, the owners are easy to reach and respond immediately to any questions. The house is in the woods and the surrounding area is gorgeous. I highly recommend for any large family. I would definitely book this house again!!!!!
Very nice place to stay with a large family. Keep in mind you're quite a distance away from any real restaurants or large supermarkets so make sure you come pretty stocked. House was comfortable and linens were clean. Communication with host was solid.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and had a relax and fun time. Hiking the property was great. Lots to do in the area. Cabin was beautiful and rustic with plenty of room for everyone. Host was super nice and easy to communicate with. Nashville was within driving distance and so was Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Lots of waterfalls and hiking nearby.
Accommodations were awesome, very spacious and well laid out. There were 12 of us and we could have had plenty more without feeling cramped. We enjoyed our stay very much!
We stayed for 4 nights and loved it. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and had the pans/utensils you needed. The beds were all comfortable.
The house sits far off the end of a dead end road. It felt very secluded. The walk down to the creek is short and pleasant. We spent lots of time on the wrap around deck which was a nice touch.
This rental was everything we could have hoped for and more. We have been taking annual glamping (doing camping things but staying in a nicer place) for the past 9 years and this was one of our favorite locations. It is so secluded and peaceful. The house is beautiful and all the wood is incredible. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen was pretty well stocked, and the fire pit is great too. It was perfect for us with 4 families because each set of adults had a room on the main or top floor and the kids had plenty of space to take over the basement. We love when they have their own area. There were games to play. it was only a short walk down to the creek. There was plenty of seating for all of us to hang out and the owner was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. We are really hoping we can plan another fun, affordable trip here!!
Upon arrival at the "Family Cabin" we were greeted with the sight of a beautiful large log home nestled in the woods, that comfortably accomodated our yoga/hiking/friends group of 11 ladies. The kitchen was well equiped for each breakfast and dinner we shared. Two12 cup coffee pots make morning coffee on the porch a great start to any morning. Plenty of hot water for showers and comfortable beds for a great night sleep. The home was clean and ready for us to check in. Wood for the firepit or indoor fireplaces was readily available and board games were plenty along w the pool table, darts and pac man for those who wantted to play. The hot tubs (yes 2 of them) were ready to go when returned from long hikes. Explore the great trails directly behing the home or travel to several of the State Parks in the area. Crossville is a short drive away for dinner or a show at the Playhouse. Owners are so easy to contact and very responsive. We highly recommend the Family Cabin for your next get away. You will be glad you went.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Water water
We came to the area for an event close by. House itself was pretty clean however communication was unfortunate trying to get information for check in. Zero notes or anything on check out leaving us to guess what to do (most houses have a binder to notify what needs to be done). Found water on the floor on main level when first got there only to find AC units and shower or toilet upstairs is leaking water and by the wood stains it didn’t just happen. Contacted thinking the owners would want fixed but didn’t seem to care, turned units off and still heard water dripping all the way to the basement all night long, had pans and towels catching what we could. Very frustrating! Not to mention it is very hot out so now no AC and can’t open windows as they had to screens
Beautiful cabin.Overall had a great time. Main floor rt. bedroom shower needed better cleaning& shower liner, needs more washcloths/towels(messaged host),new cookware/ utensils, griddle on stove did not work properly.Stove really good size.Hot tub bottom level needed cleaning.Could use box fans.AC should have been on on all floors. Enjoyed family/friend time.Fishing lake 5 miles away.Enjoyed Watermelon Festival in Monterey.
Great trip! Cabin was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for 6 adults each with their own bedroom. Bedrooms, and living areas could use some amenities such as night stands, dressers, lamps and end tables. Additional washrags and hand towels would be a good addition in the bathrooms and kitchen. Huge decks and patio areas with great views could be enhanced with some furniture.
Great cabin, plenty of room, nice kitchen and great big kitchen table. Barbeque needs cleaning. Only wish the weather was better. Would definitely say again.
This cabin was perfect for us! Quiet area, the owners are so nice! We had 15 teens and 5 adults… enough room that no one got on anyone’s nerves. Everything we needed was right there in the cabin. Loved our stay here! Would gladly stay here again. If you want to get away and unplug from all the business of life, just relax and enjoy the week together, this cabin is for you! Thank you to the owners for being so great!
Our extended family - including 9 adults and 7 children - spent a wonderful week at the Cabin on Clear Creek. It was very clean and spacious - plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our crew. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the Creek - and we spent many of our days hiking to the various waterfalls within reasonable driving distance. The owner was very gracious and responsive.
House was in a good location and in very good shape. Could use some outdoor chairs around the fire pit and on the porches. Slightly disappointed that beds were not made up. We would highly recommend this property to others.
We loved this cabin. It was very easy to get to- good roads the whole way and plenty of parking. The cabin was very clean which I am picky about. The host was very responsive. We had an issue with an upstairs air conditioner and the host got a repairman out the next day. The cabin is roomy and laid out well. High end kitchen appliances. The mattresses are great- you do have to make your own bed which is unusual but not a big deal. I am assuming they do this so you know you have clean bedding. The hot tubs were nice and clean.
Some things to note:
There is no outdoor furniture so be sure to bring chairs to enjoy the huge porch.
We only had 9 people in our group so we had plenty of towels/washcloths (not many hand towels) but if you have a large group you might want to bring extra towels.
There is little to no insulation/sound dampening between the floors so you can hear every sound and movement on the floors above and below you.
I am including a description of the bedroom/bathroom layout because this was something I was curious about.
Main floor master bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom. Other bedroom on main floor has 2 queen beds and bathroom across the hall.
Upstairs has one bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom. Other upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds and en suite bathroom.
Basement has one bedroom with bunk beds and another bedroom with 2 queen beds and bathroom is right outside bedroom doors.
Again we loved this cabin and would stay again.
