Bluefin Beach House is a professionally designed and decorated beach home located just 300 feet from the Gulf of Mexico on beautiful North Captiva Island. With large indoor and outdoor living areas, 4 bedrooms, and 5 bathrooms, the house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults and 6 children. Rental includes the use of 2 golf carts and guest membership to The Island Club.

To get to North Captiva Island you’ll need to leave your vehicle on Pine Island and cross Pine Island Sound by boat. There are two companies that offer ferry service to North Captiva Island:

There’s not a grocery store on the island, so pre-planning food during your vacation is essential! We recommend placing an online grocery order with Debbie Winstead at Fresh Pick Grocery Service in Cape Coral, FL before you arrive. She can have your groceries ready for pick up at the store, delivered to the ferry dock, or even delivered to the island and put away in your kitchen.

Amazing family vacation

We had the family vacation of our dreams at bluefin beach house in North Captiva. The house was spectacular! Spacious & comfortable. Gorgeous view of the beach & loved the proximity to the water.

Beautiful North Captiva

The house had absolutely everywe need and wanted. We have been to the island 3 times before and this house was far the best. The location, the house and the service were amazing. Definitely considering going back.

A wonderful and relaxing vacation

We felt so lucky to have found and stayed at Bluefin Beach House. The location is perfect-super close to the beach but still able to feel tucked away in the beautiful landscape. The house's amenities are fantastic and the layout is wonderful for large groups-everyone has plenty of room to relax and enjoy the views. After driving around the island, we realized just how great Bluefin's location is. We hope to be able to visit again soon.

Nice property - had a great time!

We were very pleased with the house and the island and would come back. The only disappointment was the cleanliness of the pool. Other than that, the house was very clean and was perfect for 3 couples.

Bluefin after the Hurricane

These owners worked hard to get us in for our family vacation that was booked way before Hurricane Ian The home was comfortable and what work was still needed to be done was no inconvenience for us. Great place to stay

We had a great time at North Captiva and Bluefin Beach House. The house is just steps away from a very quite part of the beach that felt like we were almost by ourselves. The house was great, beds comfortable, and the kitchen/living room was plenty spacious for the 7 of us. Hurricane Ian did a number on the island but you can tell a lot of work has gone into bringing things back. The house was great. Yanet ( the property manager) was very polite and quick to answer any questions we had. Highly suggest using Debbie with Fresh Pick Groceries. She was very helpful, even when we had to make a late add on. Her and Yanet were able to get the food stocked before we got there, making everything feel like home. Definitely recommend.

Awesome Week despite TS Elsa

Fantastic property. The quality of the home along with furnishings was first class! It was certainly a professionally appointed home which emphasized the Beach and Sea in a very elegant way. We loved the screened in porches on both levels. The pool and hot tub area was awesome. Our favorite area was the top floor great room. We enjoyed the kitchen and dinning room for dinners every night for our family of 10….priceless experience. We did have to contend with tropical storm Elsa for a day and a half. This home would be the last structure standing if there was a major storm…it is so strongly built! North Captiva is awesome and it was great being only steps away from a beach. It was never crowded. I really enjoyed fishing off the beach catching Black Sea bass, Grouper Snapper, and a Snook(2 foot off beach). Great property with very responsive management. We were very impressed with North Captiva Club handling of moving in and out. Very efficient!

Best vacation ever!

I stayed at Bluefin for a week with my family (myself, husband, our 4 and 6 year olds, my sister, her husband, their 1 and 3 year olds, my mom, and her sister). This house was PERFECT. Walking distance to the beach, big enough for everyone to stretch out, well stocked with necessary baby gear (pack and play, baby gate, high chair, ect.). They also had nice, thick doors - great for privacy and minimizing noise for naptime with babies! The kids loved the adorable bunk room and all adults rooms had king sized beds. Pool had enough shade to stay cool, decks are screened in for bug control, plenty of places to hang out. I cannot recommend this place enough. This was my first vrbo experience and the bar has been set very, very high!! Memories for a lifetime!

Friend getaway

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on the island. It was just as described and pictured on the listing. The owner Jane was very quick to respond to questions about the house before our trip as well as during our stay. We had an issue with the pool temp that was resolved immediately.

As close to old Florida with modern amenities

Loved the property and the surroundings. The house had everything we needed. The beach was wonderful and close. The beach view from the house was stunning. The kids and adults loved seeing the manatees and dolphins so close to them!!!!! And as always the sunsets were amazing! The work on the front and back side of getting there is well worth it!

Beautiful home on beautiful island

My family and I loved this home and the island. The location was perfect. Would have given 5 stars but unfortunately we had several appliance and golf cart issues and was a little disappointed with the responses and lack of compensation from the owner.

Nice Get Away

The home is very comfortable with pretty much everything needed for a nice stay on North Captiva Island. We enjoyed being so close to the beach and having a wonderful pool area to relax in. We had our groceries delivered and stocked, and prepared our own meals every day that we were there. We had everything needed to prepare very nice meals. The beds are very comfortable, as well. The home owner is very attentive and easy to work with. We would definitely go back to this same property again.

Island Isolation (Lite)

This trip required lots and lots of planning to accommodate three generations, 6 adults, and four children for a whole week. The house was great, with a lot of time around the pool. The third floor held the kitchen, dining room, and living area in an open space; this was excellent! Third floor also included a balcony with dining and an enclosed Master Suite with large bath. Boating activities and limited amenities were available. Travel was limited to golf carts, which were exciting for the kids and contributed to a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. The owners were VERY accessible and responded promptly to our inquiries; they couldn't have been better!

Perfect location, plenty of amenities, wonderful stay

Our entire family came to North Captiva for Spring Break (plus celebrate my parents 50th Anniversary) and we had a wonderful time. The home was perfect for the adults and the kids with the beach at the end of the road. We were worried that the kids would not have enough to do on the island but we were wrong. There was plenty to do from playing at the beach or just staying at the pool in the house. For a change of scenery it was easy to head to the Island Club where we fished, kayaked, played tennis, basketball and more. The upstairs kitchen and living area had wonderful views and the bedroom on that floor was great for the grandparents. The mid floor had plenty of bedrooms for the adults and the kids room was fantastic. Bunks were great and the kids loved playing with the Wii to get out of the sun for a bit. Amenities were perfect. Inside the home comes with all you need to cook for a larger group. Outside there were plenty of beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and more to take to the beach for everyone. The home owners provided detailed information on traveling to and from the island and they were great to work with. Plus, the house manager Jason was always available to answer questions, provide info on things to do on the island and more. Would definitely rent again if we come to the island in the future.

North Captiva Island is truly a unique vacation destination! As part of the Lee Island Coast in Southwest Florida, access to North Captiva is provided by conveniently scheduled public ferries. Golf carts and bikes are the only forms of transportation on the island, which helps to keep the environment pristine. The island has five miles of white, sandy beaches and offers some of the best shelling in the United States. Two thirds of the island is an undeveloped 350 acre state land preserve - the perfect place to spend the day. The island also has fabulous restaurants and private chefs and is home to The Island Club, a private club with tennis courts, pools, kayaks, and bikes. Guest access is included with your stay. North Captiva Island is one of the few places left where you can live in complete harmony with nature. One visit to this island paradise and you'll see why we fell in love with this place and now call it home!
