Cozy Mountain Living

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at this property. It exceeded our expectations. There were oodles of games to play, lots of room to hang out, and a well-stocked kitchen for our Thanksgiving feast. The beds were comfortable. The pellet stove in the living area provided a cozy, warm environment. The whole family enjoyed the Kingvale Snwo Park less than a mile away. We recommend this place to others looking for a good mountain experience.

Loved it !!!

We loved everything about the property, had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was quick and friendly. We went with family to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary, and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves. Already looking into the other properties the owner has to offer, and trying to coordinate our schedules to book again! Thank you for everything!

I normally i don’t leave any bad comments but this time I really had to and let other guests know what to expect so theirs vacation doesn’t get ruined.First of all their entertainment room is in the basement and it gets flooded. So don’t expect you can use it all the time. During our stay it was flooded twice and the 2nd time no one cane to clean it up. When we arrived the dishes were dirty so we had to wash the and the cooking pots are very old and unusable. We used one pot and one fry pan to cook for 10ppl. So if you are planning to prepare meal there bring or buy some. If it snows a lot at night you probably won’t be able to leave the driveway until mid day or sometimes at night because their snow cleaner crew starts very late. We noticed house in front of us was cleaned early un the morning and was wondering why ours doesn’t get cleaned. We noticed they cleaned it at around 3-5pm.So we had to ask the guy who was cleaning in front of the house to clean our driveway so we can go do activities. We missed one because we weren’t able to leave. We had power outage 3 times. Which was not addressed on vrbo but i saw written notice in the house. They did not have enough flash lights or lights to use for everyone and because power outage was all night it was freezing in the morning. I wish they had better supplies for that. Overall I wouldn’t book again at all

Sorry you had this experience which is very different from every other guest in vrbo or airbnb. We have the same snow cleaning service as rest of the community. The reason on that day after the snow storm, they had to wait to plow the driveway, because your party's cars were blocking and the crew did not want to cause damage to cars. During your stay, there was a severe storm in Tahoe and PGE had to shut off power for the whole area couple of times. And in basement one room had 1 or 2 of inches of water since it rained heavily (we did pump it out few times). All other tahoe homes also had same issues but much severe, some residents in our community had to be rescued due to flood. Please understand this was a huge storm with life/death situation, and crews (pge, snow plowers, others) doing their best to help in emergency. The problems you faced are some inconveniences which guests typically do not face in normal state (as evidenced by their feedback as well). We have flash lights in every bedroom that are charged in power socket
