What a great little gem of a place very close to downtown fort myers! Quiet neighborhood, comfortable bed, nicely appointed apartment inside a nice older home. Very private, awesome pool. My only suggestion would be to add a grill for cooking out. Super friendly property manager. 1000% would stay here again!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re happy that you enjoyed your stay, the comfort of the apartment, and the peaceful neighborhood. It’s great to hear you loved the pool and felt well taken care of by our property manager. Regarding the grill — there is normally one available on the property for shared use. However, unfortunately, we’ve had a few issues in the past with guests not treating it properly. We’d be very happy to welcome you back anytime!

Too bad you were so dissatisfied. However, our advertisement description states that we do not offer cable. Our televisions are all smart TVs, which is perfectly adequate if you know how to use them. None of our guests have complained about the water temperature. However, we will look into it, as it is no problem to set the temperature of the heater a little higher.

Relax at BarraVilla

This was our 3rd year staying at this property. We love the quiet neighborhood, the pool, the front porch, and the size of the apartments is perfect for the 2 of us. I also liked the fact that there is 2 washers and dryers on the property. The washers cost $1.50 and the dryers are free. The grocery store (Public) is just a couple blocks away and the downtown area is close enough to walk. There is a free shuttle but didn't bother to look up the schedule because the walk was fine. There is a variety of restaurants and shops in the downtown area.

Room Naples for the week

We stayed at Room Naples for the week. It is a lovely little cottage studio. It is in an old house and while it has everything you need, do not expect luxury. We used the pool (water was perfect), sat on the front porch and used the room as our headquarters while we visited friends and family around the Fort Myers area. Publix grocery store is a convenient 5 minute walk, we walked to Coastal Dayz Brewery and ate from a food truck parked there, and downtown First St. is a 5 minute drive where we ate at Mason’s for crab and lobster rolls and walked through the art fair. Overall a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. The first night was rough as our bed was broken. I reached out to Marlene and she was very responsive and had John come and replace the mattress, thank you, I slept much better the rest of the week. We tried to use the oven and realized the stove was either broken or not plugged in. Neither of us wanted to pull it out and check so we used the microwave. The towels provided are well loved but clean and did the job. I would have liked to have more toilet paper provided and extra garbage bags, we had to pick more up at the store.Overall, the location was perfect for us and we would stay again!

Unpleasant.

Had hard time getting key out of lock box. Property was very run down inside. Felt like bed could fall apart at any turn. Had to go buy bug spray before we could use bathroom. Floor was covered with tiny crawling bugs. Very unpleasant stay

Response from VrboOwner on 13 September 2021
We would have gladly cleaned the bathroom and/or the floor - if necessary - as our guests are, of course, entitled to carefully cleaned accommodation. But, unfortunately, we were not made aware of any grievances at any time during the guest's stay. We are aware that guests may find beds to be differently comfortable. However, under no circumstances are our beds or other furnishings in a condition that could give the feeling of "falling apart". The key boxes we use are the key boxes typically used in Florida for vacation properties.

Response from VrboOwner on 20 May 2020
It should be known to every traveler by now that it is not unusual in southern countries for animals and vermin to invade homes. That´s why our accommodations are checked by a pest control company at regular intervals, as is usual in Florida. It is not always necessary that the exterminator also goes into the apartments, which was also not necessary in the described case, because the vermin did not get into the apartment but only into the partition walls of the house. The described hole on the outside wall of the house has of course been closed in the meantime.

Very cozy

Very cozy, but still plenty of room in the large eat-in kitchen, as well as in the bedroom/living room combination. Very clean throughout. Very close to many restaurants and shops in the old historic downtown, easily within walking distance. Felt very safe in the property and the surrounding area. Used the heated pool every day. Would definitely like to stay here again, when heading to Fort Myers.

unvergessliche Zeit in Villa Barra

Gerne immer wieder!

Individuelle Unterkunft in zentraler Lage

Response from VrboOwner on 24 March 2020

So erlebt man Florida erst richtig!

Entspannt Urlaub machen
