We had an amazing experience at The Downtown Inn! Despite the weather, the Inn was extremely accommodating and we could not have been more grateful for the hospitality! Will definitely be staying here again whenever we have another trip to Asheville! Great Location and easy check-in services! Thank you guys so much!

If the only thing you care about is location, then this place is great. But if you want some space or light or a decor that doesn't scream 1960's motel, then this place probably won't cut it for you. I don't remember how it was advertised but I guess I never expected a motel room from Vrbo.
The amenities were just what I needed and close to downtown. I was walking distance from everything I needed. The facility was clean and staff were accommodating.
Vintage hotel thats very well maintained, cleaner then some fancy places to be honest ! U can walk all of downtown from here ! Asheville will always be my favorite city!!
We had a great stay at the Downtown Inn. The location was perfect and within walking distance of so many places to visit. The room was clean and had a great view of the mountains. The price made it worth it too. We would stay here again.
Older property but it had all the things we needed and expected based on site. Also had a price point we needed for this quick trip.
Front desk was helpful when engaged.
Everyone was very kind and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and they were very accommodating to them! They even had dog biscuits! Place was clean and the location is perfect! We could walk right to the downtown area.
Staff did a great job considering - no water and no power in the area - Staff good at communicating status of the area (non potable water) Parking is difficult to enter and exit - I was in town to help with relief efforts - one of the few Hotels open in the area.
It's a motel near a decent amount of walkable places in downtown Asheville. Parking was not good. They have one lot in the front which is tiny, but free. The parking lot behind them is paid parking. They have a breakfast, but its basically 3 bland cereals or a bagel. It was a place to put our head down for the night.
The heat was insufficient for the tiny room. After asking for a space heater and sitting in the room with our winter coats on for an hour, we had to leave and find a different hotel. It was miserable!
The place needs some TLC. The lobby was not very inviting having construction things all over the place plus the clothes/luggage carts were visible next to the elevator.

Great location
This is an old hotel in the renovation process with outside entry to the rooms, but there were current security systems in place for access. The room was fine, basic, clean. The VRBO listing said 1 bedroom 1 bath sleeps 4, so I assumed there was a pullout couch. But it was just a king bed. There were 2 of us, it worked out. The great thing was the location, the walkable access to all of downtown. It was noisy tho, right on Patton.
