Relaxing Getaway
The neighborhood was quiet, clean and newer. Tucked away in the woods, yet close enough to the stores to get groceries. Definitely would recommend. Easy communication with owners.

A pleasant retreat
Truly enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin. Overall, the house was in good shape. They do need to have more cups/drinking glasses in the kitchen (I'm sure many were broken over time) and we had to buy cutting boards, which we left behind, but overall, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Owners are a pleasure to deal with and we appreciated the use of their home. There was plenty of room for our family group of ten to spread out and enjoy ourselves, although we spent the majority of the time playing games at the large dining room table or on the deck making smores in the wood burning fire place (provide your own wood)! This is nothing to do with the owners or the home itself, but others who rent the house. Pay attention to the entire listing. Other reviewers left bad reviews and complained about the lack of supplies, but should have known better. We took all of our own supplies because it plainly says in the listing that the owners do not provide paper products or trash bags for your stay. They give enough for maybe your first day or two there, but that's it, which is more than reasonable. Also, the closest grocery store other than Dollar General is about 15-20 minutes away, so plan accordingly. Read the entire listing, book it, bring your own supplies and have a great time making wonderful memories in a beautiful log cabin home with great mountain views! Thank you Chelsea and Dan for opening up your home and sharing it with us.

Nice home for family gathering
We planned a family get together with all siblings and their spouses. Nice view and a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to nearby hiking trails, water falls, and other activities. Only issue, if any, would be that supplies were low (toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish washer pods, etc). Dollar general and local grocery stores are 10-15 minutes away.

Don’t Assume
First off, the listing claims that they take cleaning seriously. However, there was a garbage canister in the kitchen full of trash without a bag. We had to clean large amounts of cobwebs around the entire ceiling of the master bedroom. In the basement, where the kids slept, there were lots of large spiders dead and alive. My youngest daughter received a bite on her foot while sleeping. There were also many inconveniences such as not enough toilet paper—only one roll provided per bathroom in a sleep 15 cabin, and no garbage bags supplied. Don’t assume because there is a fire pit that there will be wood provided. We made the mistake when bookin that such things would be provided for this price. Propane is also not provided—which appears in the listing—however, you either have to bring in on a potentially long roadtrip or drive a half hour to the local Walmart. Communication with the owners was good in the sense they responded quickly to concerns and questions but there was no apologies for shortcomings like the lack of cleaning. They simply said they would “let the team know.” Overall, it was a spacious cabin in a quiet area, just be aware what you are getting for the price.

Birthday/Family vacation
The cabin was picture perfect with a great view and location. It had all the amenities mentioned including a game room that kept the kids occupied. The fire pit was our favorite place and is where we spent most of the time, especially to watch the kids roll down the hill. I would absolutely recommed this property. Town is about 25 mins away so make sure you grab what you need. However, there is a quaint little gas station close by that has most things including firewood. I miss it already!

We are just two high school sweethearts with an avid passion for travel and adventure. The view from Mt. Le Conte in the Smokies is where we originally fell in love with hiking. In our 10 years together, we've meandered trails along fjords in Norway, sandy beach cliffs in Croatia, icy lakes in Poland, gushing river in the Narrows of Zion - and a lot in between.

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is a product of these loves of ours – a launch pad to adventure, cozy in the snow, rest after the summit, and catalyst for making memories. We hope you make it YOUR place to stay!
