Waterfront cottage on Occohannock Creek w/ beautiful Chesapeake Bay sunset views
Unplug, unwind and recharge at Occohannock Overlook, a rustic cottage just steps from the waters of Occohannock Creek. The cottage has water views from every room - the eat-in kitchen; a small downstairs bedroom; a large living room; and the upstairs master bedroom. There have been several upgrades made to provide comfort- new carpet, mini split a/c, and fresh paint - without compromising the rustic charm of the original cabinets, windows and bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked with a gas double-oven, microwave, Keuring and all cooking essentials. There is no dock access, but a small sandy beach appears during low and mid tides, and there is a public boat ramp just two miles away for your boating and fishing adventures. The cottage is very rural (10 minute drive to town), is surrounded by some wooded areas, and is located next to the owner's main home. The cottage is the perfect home-base for those who want to experience the best of the Eastern Shore or the perfect quiet retreat for those who want to unwind and rest. If you love nature, kayaking, fishing, boating and quiet, beautiful sunset views, come unplug and let your worries melt away at Occohannock Overlook.

The cottage is lovely. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at all times of day to watch the serene water and wildlife. We enjoyed the kayak. The sunset was exceptional! We would definitely rent again!

Last minute Vacation
Pictures don’t do the property justice. It was roomy and very comfortable- nicely decorated and very clean. Everything is there as noted. Stunning views from the decks and 1st floor rooms. We will book again on our next visit to the Shore.

A wonderful trip! If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place to relax & unwind, this is it!
We spent 3 nights here and it was wonderful. It was by far the cleanest VRBO home we’ve stayed in. The view of the sunsets was incredible. The house is in a quiet, isolated area, but the owners are right next door if you need anything. We felt safe and very comfortable. There are wonderful restaurants a short drive away, with incredible food. It would be a great house for a family to stay in.. there’s plenty of room. We look forward to staying here again. It was a wonderful experience.
