Just retired, I wanted to take a short trip to chill and decompress. I brought my close friend and my dog. Rivers Nest met all our needs. Check-in was very simple. Owner was very communicative. Sitting on the covered deck watching the birds and river was just what I needed. And of course, you are very close to many great wineries. I highly recommend.
Val and John are the nicest people! The property is beautiful and so peaceful. We have gone there 2 years in a row while our son was a Spire Acadamy and we wouldn't stay any place else!
I absolutely loved the deck and the view of the river we enjoyed grilling out and having fires and relaxing the house was beautiful and exactly like the listing and our dogs loved it as well! Will definitely stay again loved it
My husband and I as well as our two fur-babies had a really nice time at the Rivers Nest. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and Valarie had a card and freshly made cookies waiting for us when we arrived. Those little touches go a long way. The house was clean and very welcoming. We plan to go back again and again!
My family had the best time at River Nest and made so many memories that we will nevwr forget. There is so much fun with swimming in the river right outside your deck, bonfire, sharing meals on your beautiful deck with fun string lights:) Everything you need to cook is provided in your full kitchen and there is a fruit stand and vontage covered bridge within a mike of the property. The owners are so sweet and thoughtful, thank you for everything!
What a sweet spot! My first trip to Ohio and it was beautiful! The weather allowed us to venture out but also stay snuggled up on the comfy couch and spend some much needed disconnect time. Bed super comfy, kitchen BIG light and airy, and THAT PORCH! It was awesome to sit cuddled up in a blanket and PJ’s listening to the rain and all the Birds. My Lab even relaxed, he enjoying watching the chipmunks run around and frogs with a BIG yard to chase a Ball when the weather was good. So glad we picked Valerie’s special spot! She checked in to make sure we got settled ok and knew of some great spots to grab dinner. The winery’s are plentiful and close by! (My favorite part) Can’t wait to go back when it’s a little bit warmer and can play in the river! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us, it was the perfect place to unwind and spend the week when we weren’t visiting family. We couldn’t ask for a better host and experience.
Beautiful view of the river from the new covered deck! Perfect location for a quiet stay in the heart of Ohio’s wine country. Easy, close drive to all of the wineries. Recently remodeled and clean. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because the sofa and recliner need to be replaced. Thanks for a great anniversary weekend!
Perfect location for everything we were wanting to do! The house is close to many wineries and covered bridges. Great place to relax for our weekend trip with friends. Host was very accommodating and had great communication during our stay. The house is very clean and spacious with an added bonus of having two king beds. The deck overlooking the river was absolutely wonderful. Will definitely stay there again!
This was a great property if you want to get away to a quiet location with a comfortable and beautiful outdoor space. This inside of the house has a nice open layout as well. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for a cookout!
We visited for a girls weekend. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed the quiet mornings on the back porch! The owner checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and suggested GREAT places to visit and eat at! Definitely will be back soon!
Very relaxing place to be. Owners live 2 doors down and even offered us a pontoon ride on the river.
