Summary: So much river viewing from this completely renovated house overlooking the Hudson! Bald Eagles, recreation boats, water skiers, barges, the Amtrak across the river! It's all candy for the eyes.
Massive deck that is basically your private outdoor living room.
Inside the house has just undergone a gut-renovation. 4 bedrooms (2 of them with en suite bathrooms), 3.5 bathrooms, massive living room, den with 65" TV, dining room that easily sits 8-10 people, and a massive eat-in kitchen.
The Neighborhood: Malden on Hudson is a quiet residential hamlet about 1.5 miles north of the Historic center of Saugerties. There is a lovely little riverfront park with a boat launch about two blocks from the house.
Getting Around: One can easily and safely stroll the neighborhood. There is a large driveway with plenty of parking for multiple cars.

Very spacious and clean. The best deck and view ever. Missing a few excepted amenities. No microwave or wine opener. Otherwise a well stocked kitchen. Owner was very responsive to questions. Would have been nice to have had an info sheet on the area and restaurant suggestions.
Spacious house decorated in a contemporary style, with an open floor plan. Great house to relax with our friends. It was great sitting outside on the drck with the beautiful water view. Kitchen was well stocked but plan on bringing some napkins, paper towels and maybe a few wine glasses. We had a couple questions working the a/c, and about a birds next near the kitchen/deck. Lucas responded promptly to our questions.
In town for a wedding with family. Super comfortable home for 4 couples. Clean, spacious and well stocked. We ate out most of the time but a nice kitchen and grill. Hopefully the little birds above the grill will fledge soon and somehow the oven vent can be blocked to prevent future nests. There is a nice short walk down the hill from the home to a small park on the Hudson river.

Beautiful house, poor communication.
Gorgeous view. Renovated house, with modern appliances & big gathering areas. Close to town. No microwave & birds nesting in stove vent was a challenge. No code shared prior to check in so accessing home took a while. No hard copy manual with passwords & other instructions, only online in Vrbo app that we couldn’t locate. Thermostats are challenging to use, but house does cool nicely with AC. House is on the market & owner scheduled a showing while we were there & forgot to notify us. He did give us the option to decline the showing & credited us $100 when we agreed to let it happen. It was a very awkward experience. Overall beautiful house that met our needs but experience with owner made it off putting.
Beautiful Property. Great sunlight everywhere. Very Clean. Wonderful, luxurious beds and sheets and bathrooms and towels. Kitchen well equipped. Three nice living room spaces for relaxing and hanging out. Great dining room table for 8 with fantastic views of the river and passing boats and trains. We were grandparents, two daughters, one son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren, 22 mos & 4 3/4 yrs.
Cliff House is a beautiful property. Spacious, remodeled house, incredible views of the River from most rooms of the house and incredible deck. Would love to visit in spring or summer. Great location close to most of what the Catskills offer.
Overall a really nice stay! The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with dishes, plates, cutlery, glassware etc. This house is great for family gatherings. As it is not someone’s lived in home, guests need to bring everything needed to cook including seasonings and the town has ample retail and restaurants. Perhaps we are old fashioned but an instruction book would be appreciated. The host was gracious and volunteered to help with anything needed, but it would have been nice to have a guidebook.
We would definitely return!
We loved returning to this house. It was very clean upon arrival. The entire family enjoyed the space to relax, enjoy the deck and take in the great views of the river. Rooms were very comfortable.
Very clean and well stocked. Beautiful view - could watch the river all day. Airy and bright. Would stay again. Bedrooms dont have all window coverings but was fine for us as we had to be up early for show.
Nice view of river. Saw several bald eagles.
Spacious and clean interior. Comfortable for 8 people.

Summer getaway
The deck is amazing and we spent time together in all of the gathering spaces during our stay. Clean and comfortable beds, although we would have preferred some sort of window coverings.
Despite the claims on the listing, there is no microwave in the kitchen, which was problematic for one of us who uses it to prepare medication. The kitchen is otherwise well stocked.
We did not receive any sort of information about the property other than the door code (which was strictly timed and did not open even a minute early). We had to contact the owner for the wifi password, which he sent within minutes of our request.
Convenient location in a lovely Catskills town with a view that we will miss.
We loved our stay in this house. The inside was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and linens, and soft towels. The kitchen was gorgeous, clean, and fully stocked with absolutely any tool you could need. The owners even provided coffee pods for the Keurig.
The outside was equally amazing — a gorgeous deck runs the length of the house, and sitting out there watching the river was a highlight. Our dog particularly enjoyed that part!
The house is located within an easy 5-10 minute drive of Saugerties, and we had a great couple of days relaxing at the house, walking the neighborhood, seeing the lighthouse and nearby towns, and taking the dog around Saugerties and a few outdoor restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
We had a great extended weekend at this river-view house with extended family. The house was clean, bright and spacious with great views of the Hudson river. We enjoyed strolling through nearby Saugerties, visiting the lighthouse and just hanging out on the large deck watching the boats and birds go by.
We had a wonderful stay, and would return and recommend to others. The house is renovated, clean, well furnished, and well stocked. But there are few things to be aware of: the hot tub intermittently shuts off and doesn't get very hot, one of the doors to the bedrooms upstairs does not close, the Nest thermostat resets to 65 every night and it was impossible to figure out how to keep it higher than this, and the wifi was also pretty spotty, which for us didn't matter much, but if you are planning on WFH it might matter to you. Again small inconveniences for the most part, and given everything else, we were very happy with our stay.
Our plan was to enjoy a peaceful week to include preparing and enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with our family in an idyllic setting. This house was the perfect choice to execute our plan. Simple, comfortable furnishings, a well-appointed kitchen and perfectly situated dining room! There was even a beautiful table cloth on hand for the dining room table. The location was a great starting point to enjoy a walk by the river or a drive to nearby historic sites. The village of Saugerties' fantastic restaurants, bars and shops were an unexpected bonus!
Property is beautiful. A couple small things I’ll text personally but nothing to change about our stay. It was very clean and spacious. Close to everything. A lot of early morning construction (730 am) on the road and house below. A spectacular view of the river and very quiet when construction was done for the day.
Our family spent 5 wonderful days in the Hudson River Valley area and this house was the perfect place to set the mood. It was spacious, beautifully furnished, comfortable and had everything you will need. The owner was responsive and helpful.
We had a fantastic stay at this house. Quiet neighborhood, close to all sorts of nature spots (hiking, lighthouse, etc.) and conveniently located a few miles from town for restaurants. The interior was wonderfully furnished and absolutely perfect for relaxing, reading. Well stocked and organized kitchen. The deck overlooking the river was fantastic to sit, read and watch the ships go by. Overall, it was a great house to enjoy a quiet, restful few days. The owner was very responsive, and a pleasure to rent from. Would definitely hope to return to this house one day!
WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THIS PROPERTY. THE HOUSE HAD PLENTY OF ROOM FOR ALL OF US AND A DOG! THE VIEWS OF THE HUDSON AND FISHING WERE FABULOUS. WE WOULD CERTAINLY RENT IT AGAIN. THANK YOU.
