The property was exactly as described, the host was easy to communicate with and provided lots of information to make the stay comfortable and easy. The location was excellent - clean, safe neighborhood with everything nearby
Great location and beautiful home. Easy access to all kinds of cafes, restaurants, and convenience store options. The beds were very comfortable, showers were hot, and it felt like home for the week. Dedicated parking is a huge plus in this location, and the hosts are very communicative and gracious.
The townhouse was spacious and more than comfortable for a four day stay for our four guests having a college reunion. The communication process with the host was excellent and made the logistics very easy. Nice neighborhood was an easy walk to center city attractions. Also close to food stores and restaurants.
This was our second time staying here and we plan to be back! The house is beautiful and has everything we need, it’s in a great neighborhood, and the hosts are incredible - very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend staying here.
A great place to stay for a long weekend reunion! The unit is just as described in the listing - great layout with 3 bedrooms with queen/king beds (including a spacious master suite), 1 bedroom with two twin beds, and 2 1/2 baths. The outside area is nice for sitting outdoors on a pleasant evening- was planning on using the large, clean grill, but plans change and we never did grill, as the location is so close to many highly ranked restaurants from small, informal places to high-end steak houses (Rittenhouse Square is a 15 minute walk). The unit was clean and the kitchen was stocked with what you need for cooking for a weekend stay. There is a Heritage supermarket a block and a half away (a closer local supermarket is being renovated, rumor has it to become a Whole Foods). Nice, safe, predominantly residential urban neighborhood, although with nearby South Street shops, including CVS, Starbucks, WaWa, and great bike shop. There are two other local corner coffeeshops (Rival Bros. is great!) and AntsPants diner has wonderful breakfasts and lunches. Entrance is through a gated (locked) walkway for the four units, with each unit having a small gated outdoor area - the private entrance is off the unit's outdoor area. The management is very responsive - folks in neighboring unit had problem with electronic look on walkway gate and someone was there within 10 minutes. Would highly recommend this VRBO for clean, comfortable stay that is convenient to center city Philadelphia.
Our family of 5 (three kids ages 5-9) had a wonderful stay. The house was well appointed, clean, and more than enough space for us. Walkable to several restaurants and a bonus to have a parking space! Great, quiet location - we enjoyed it.
This was a difficult review because many things about this property were just right for our group (good use of space on first floor; several extra spaces made the overall feel quite expansive as long as steps are not an issue; interesting neighborhood; There was a small outside private courtyard and a roof top deck which provided unexpected spots for reading or calls which made the property feel even more spacious.) but there were needless issues and poor communication while were there esp about the included parking which was quite vital in this neighborhood. The house seemed to be pretty recently redone and had a need for a decent handyman to do a number of small repairs--towelbars, tp holders, leaking from shower causing damage, broken microwave, outer gate not closable or lockable, smelly area rug. And the kitchen was not fully appointed as far as decent pots and pans for cooking dinner tho it was a good layout and had a reasonable amount of dishes, glasses, etc.
The location was one that I enjoyed fully w/ a nice nearby park for dog walking and playing with kids; Rival Brothers coffee was an easy walk for excellent coffees; the independent grocer on the block turned out to be excellent for basics and the multi varied items needed by dietary restrictions in the family. The provided parking is a necessary amenity and worked surprisingly well despite a rotating array of cars; however, when we arrived there was a very tight fit to park in the provided garage and the night we left someone had parked into both spaces of the garage and we had to seek street parking at risk of tickets plus hindered loading up to depart. Unfortunately tho communication had been good before we got to Philly, but when on site, several easy questions were completely ignored and only the items that seemed to matter to the provider were answered in the course of the 6 days we were there. This property has potential and I hope these issues can be resolved.
PS the 4th bedroom is in the basement and it is nicely finished but has no windows and some sort of heat/venting is needed to keep it from getting hot as the heating system is right there and makes a good bit of noise. The listing strictly speaking did not count this bedroom but we needed it for the days we had a full house. It was a favorite spot for my granddaughter to play hide and seek and the space was appreciated.
