We stayed here with our two small children and the house was perfect! The heated floors made it very comfortable during a cold December stay. It is the perfect place to bring the family.
Unbeatable Location for Adventure and Starry Skies
I had a great stay with my son for his 13th birthday. The location was beautiful, communication was prompt, and the property was clean and well-appointed. We had all the utensils, cookware and kitchen supplies we needed. The tap water from does have a sulfur whiff to it, as others have commented, but Jon was kind enough to supply a water dispenser and quickly refilled it when it got low. It's all about location. Our dog-sledding tour was just ten minutes drive from the house and we were far enough outside of town that you could really see the stars when the sky was clear. We weren't lucky enough to catch the Aurora Borealis on the one clear night we had there, but that just means we'll have to try again some day!
This turned out to be an amazing week. Our first trip to Alaska. The property was amazing. The host was informative, fast to respond, the house was clean. Would highly recommend and would love to come back.
Perfect Cabin in the woods close enough to Fairbanks and Northpole to explore and just far enough outside of both towns to enjoy trees, snow, MOOSE 😀 walking back. Heated floors for the cold mornings, 2 bedrooms and nice living area and kitchen, also laundry area. Porch swing to sit outside and enjoy hot chocolate or coffee. Would definitely stay here again. ALOT BETTER than hotel room for less cost.
Quiet location. Even had a moose wander through. Nice sized kitchen/living room. Biggest downfall is the water smells awful(sulfur smell). That needs to be fixed. Booked an extra night we didnt need(flights changed). VRBO said owner had to approve, owner said VRBO had to. Vrbo sent him an email how to do it. Never got done.
