Stayed here in late December. The property was very inviting; nice large TV and cozy couches for relaxing to watch movies in the evening. A nice plus was the large kitchen. This property was in a convenient location in Kingston. Would recommend if you are getting away to the Hudson Valley area.
The Rondout is a great area to be in. Easy to get to a bunch of other places in the Hudson Valley, being right near the water was great, the restaurants and coffee and everything else is fantastic. Very easy to get to, quiet neighborhood, and very nice house, everything was laid out super nicely and we really enjoyed our time
We had such a great stay at this little house. So comfortable . The entire place was clean and well appointed. We felt comfortable and safe. Our little dogs adapted right away, thanks to a big beautiful backyard.
We were able to communicate with the hosts as needed. I would definitely stay here again. Plus loved walking around the waterfront district … so close. Great stay.
We had so much fun in Kingston and loved our location. It was so easy to walk to restaurants after a day of driving through the Hudson Valley and partaking in wine at many of the wineries. The house was comfortable, the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and the backyard was a lovely space.
Our only concern was the staircase to the basement. We really needed a railing and more lighting. But that might just be our age...it's hard to see these days! Thank you for everything!
I have chosen not to submit a review which would be negative. I am a long term housing professional. I do not agree with how the listing was represented. It's best to present notes that the area is in transition. Advising in response to concerns about the property that a security system may work in Brooklyn but not comfort elsewhere. I'm out $3k for my 70th birthday so very unhappy. Know that you have very few reviews for a reason. I hope you learn that best to be transpate n t.
We booked this home for three nights the day before we arrived and the hosts were nothing but accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had a crib, high chair, and baby gate for the stairs. The home was clean, very well stocked with items you may need for your stay, and in walking distance to shops and restaurants.
My friend and I rented this cottage for our trip to the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. It was exactly as described and photographed! The cottage is a quick walk to restaurants and a yarn and wine bar. We spent most of our time out of the house, but it was a great home base for our yarn-y adventures. Delightful!
We spent the week of Thanksgiving here, and had such a lovely time! The house was so comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food! We enjoyed walking around and exploring the waterfront area. The backyard was convenient as we had a dog with us.
We had the best time in Kingston!! The host answered lots of questions for us prior to booking & then more after we booked. In a really cute little area & Uber accessible at night. The house itself was comfy & adorable & had everything we needed & a funky & homey vibe. We cooked a meal in the kitchen which was fully stocked with pots, pans, glassware, dishes, etc. We really only had 1 or 2 complaints & they were minor. Would totally recommend this home & stay here again ourselves.
The house was situated within walking distance of the waterfront with all it's restaurants and cool shops. We had a fabulous time there. And it's a super short drive to the Historic Stockade area as well. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed, though we didn't spend a lot of time there.
