About this property
Pristine New Modern Bungalow At the Base of The National Forest; 1 Acre of land
Welcome to the Marmot! A New-Construction Modern Tiny House on an Acre of Land at the Base of National Forest. Literally walk to the lake, eateries, or the beautiful hike/bike trails to reservoirs, overlooks, and boulder fields. This 500 sf retreat has a quiet bedroom sporting a King bed, an adjoining bath with walk-in shower, washer/dryer and an open bright kitchen, dining and living room area. There's also a covered Patio with a grill to relax on and take in our spectacular starry nights. The Marmot is a perfect quiet retreat for two. Due to the home’s size, no more than three overnight guests, please. There is only one king bed and a third guest would need to bring a cot, blowup or sleep on the loveseat. Please inquire and request set-up before with us if you would like the travel crib provided or kids books/toys to be put out. Please check the pet fee line if bringing a pet so we can pay the cleaner for the extra cleaning time. Thank you!

We were in the process of moving to Palmer Lake and needed a VRBO that accepted Pets. It’s was PERFECT for our 3 days. Will be recommending this cozy place when our friends come to visit.
This was a lovely stay for a quick weekend getaway with us and our dog, lovely walks down to the lake, easy access to local shops and friendly neighborhood would stay again!
Get location within walking distance to hikes, and shops in town. Quiet space with beautiful views from the windows. Communication with the host was excellent. Will definitely stay here again!
A hidden gem..very relaxing stay. Loved the pretty wildflowers, very welcoming in their simplicity. Alyce was excellent to work with. Muskrat had everything we could want..thanks for the midweek break
We had a wonderfully comfortable stay here! Alyce was very responsive to what we needed and check in/check out was very easy. The washer and dryer were so helpful. Thank you!
Alyce was very welcoming and the house was cozy and perfect for a get away. It’s private and located within walking distance to Palmer Lake and the little shops!

Thank you for staying with us and so glad you enjoyed the space. Palmer Lake is cute to walk to for dinner or to explore the lake!
This property was a great place to stay. It was a little far from the places we visited, but other than that was good.

So glad you enjoyed the space. We are close to national forest, shops, restaurants, grocery store but we are a bit further away from mainstream tourist attractions in Colorado Springs. Some of our guests have found the drive enjoyable and a part of their trip but we can see how the location isn’t for everyone. It is quieter and off the beaten path for sure!
It was beautiful. I’ve been to Colorado many times but this was a beautiful getaway.

About the host

A custom home builder for 30 years. This was a refreshing project that was so small and simple it was fun to build and create a small retreat just for two. It was an acre of land that overlooks the quaint town of Palmer Lake that boasts some amazing restaurants and bars. This little gem sits at the base of the famous Palmer Lake Star.
Why they chose this property
If you want to relax and get away from it all in a small private bungalow and enjoy new, clean home with all the modern amenities current with the trends. Get away to the National Forest or walk to town to visit the new train bridge, or get an ice cream cone at a local shop.
