Welcome to Whitetail Cabin! Our beautifully updated cabin has all the modern amenities you could wish for while enjoying Georgetown Lake, Philipsburg, and Discovery Ski Area, including high speed fiber Internet. We are located on a private road on two acres of gently graded land, just across Hwy 1 on the northeast side of the lake - great orientation with wide views of the lake, gorgeous sunsets, and close public access to the water. We are also only 5 miles to Discovery Ski Area!

Great access to Discovery

I was there with my husband and a friend for a ski race this past weekend. We loved the easy access to the mountain. The home was very comfortable and while the lake was snow and ice covered, it was lovely to look out at that view. Everything about getting in was easy and we had no need to contact the property manager.

Great for family, not couples needing privacy.

When we arrived we were able to check in smoothly. Directions on where to first turn off the highway needs to be written to say street name at first turn. We immediately noticed no coffee pot and called friends to bring one. I read previous reviews and another person also mentioned this. The host said there was a French press. Would not work for us 5 adults. Hopefully he gets a simple coffee pot as the cabin is electric. Our shower glass was dirty. I contacted him to say his cleaner didn't clean well. He stated she couldn't get it clean. I was able to. I'm not a professional cleaner. I tried to open a window. Dont do that. I was eating and dirt went everywhere from just partially opening it. I noticed dirt under the couch. I sat outside in a dirty chalk covered chair. I thought it might be stained, however it wasnt and i got dirty. The lawn maintenance is lacking. We thought the space upstairs in the loft would have a door. There is no door for privacy. So it's perfect for kids but not 3 couples. The pin 📌 needs moved in the ad. It is a beautiful area. Not far from the lake. The bathroom downstairs has zero privacy. While showering a blue car drove by. For women it's not good. Plus the security camera on the shed may or may not show the bathroom. It's enough to creep you out. The refrigerator in the drawers will freeze things. So be cautious. The motion sensors in the house seem sensitive. The alarm in master bedroom went off several times. We alerted the owner and he quickly adjusted the sensitivity. The upstairs toilet had to be turned on and off due to the leak it had which we noticed first thing and alerted the owner. The cleaner could have noticed that to, had they cleaned the base of the toilet. Overall is a lovely place for a family . Hopefully the owner will provide a coffee pot. It's quiet and relaxing. We would stay again as a smaller group and would recommend this property so long as some things are addressed.

We are a married couple with 2 little girls and we just moved to Boise, ID from New York. Before moving to New York, we lived abroad in Belgium. We love to laugh, have fun with our girls, and are always seeking new adventures. Hubby loves cooking, running, biking, cooking, eating, joking, hiking, drinking wine and documentary films. Wifee loves eating hubby's food, acting the same age as her daughters, playing practical jokes. and falling asleep during hubby's films.

What makes this property unique

The home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin.

Note: The two upstairs bedrooms are separated by only a bathroom that acts as a wall partition. There are no doors between the two upstairs bedrooms...

All beds are new, extremely comfortable, memory foam mattresses!

There is a bunk with trundle in the 3rd bedroom upstairs. These beds have Twin XL mattresses to accommodate adults and children.

All sleeping rooms coming with blackout blinds!

There is a pack-n-play for a baby.

Ultra HD Samsung TV in living room has pull down handles, and swivel options.

The entire private 2 acres of property are accessible for guests to enjoy.

NOTE: It is very important to accurately book the correct number of guests, as the max amount of guests is 7 guests and we charge for extra guests, above 5 guests. We do monitor an exterior camera to protect our property and to make sure that bookings reflect the accurate number of guests. Two Ring cameras video the driveway. One Ring Doorbell is at the side entrance.
