About this property

Historic & Family Owned

The Huffman House has been in our family for three generations, dating back to when my Grandpa bought the house from the Root family.

You're not staying in an investment property, this home is our family home and has been for over 50 years. We want to share the wonderful amenities and character of the 3000+sqft home with you while we are away. Located right next to Root candles and the square & with an Office, Laundry room, Coffee bar and Private balcony...welcome home and to historic Medina!

You have access to the whole house. Each room has it's own unique flare and amenities. The master has a small walk in closet and private half bath. The "Blue room" has beautiful vintage furniture and a large closet full of children's toys. The "Green room" has a queen size bed and a modern flare. The "Yellow room" is geared towards the traveler with a simple grace with a private balcony to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or book. Downstairs enjoy a private office space, reading lounge, large family dining room, quaint breakfast nook, large kitchen, front patio and sunroom/laundry room .

Awesome Host, Great Location, Nice Sized Historic Family Home. Walkable to Uptown Farmers Market and all the Shops and right across the street from AI Root Candle Co. We also enjoyed ourselves at Foundry Social which is right around the corner. Hands Down one of the most enjoyable VRBO’s we’ve stayed at.

I absolutely loved the stay. If we forgot anything, they had it. It was a very easy check in and check out. The lock on the door did stop working during our stay, but I think it was a battery issue. Other that, it was perfect!

It was a lovely older home, full of character and interesting original details. It was perfect for our family of 6 and enjoying time with extended family as well. Jamie was great to work with and very responsive, checkin and out very simple as well. Loved visiting the many nearby shops and restaurants, we did quite a bit of walking around Medina.

The house is absolutely beautiful and located very close to the really cute town! We really enjoyed all aspects of the house. Other than the air-conditioning not really working during our stay. However, I will say that is the price you pay for booking a historical home. And we did come on one of the hottest days of the year. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here but maybe do so during cooler months if the heat bothers you!

Plenty shops nearby within walking distance. I had no problem with communication with owner and house was clean. Plenty parking behind the house We needed a 4 bedroom house for family to come in for a funeral. Having a place like this took a lot of stress off of the family

One of the best features of the location is its proximity to Medina’s Historic Public Square — just 1 mile from the Square. That makes it an easy walk for guests who want to enjoy Medina’s many festivals, farmers markets, concerts, restaurants, shopping, and seasonal events without having to worry about finding a parking spot.

During some of Medina’s busiest events, the Square and surrounding downtown area can become quite busy, so being within walking distance is a major perk. Park at the house, grab your walking shoes, and enjoy everything downtown Medina has to offer.
