Welcome to the Wildflower Cabin! This cozy little dry cabin (no running water, no shower) gives you a chance to relax and enjoy nature while living the authentic Alaskan lifestyle. Not only do you have access to the Chena River and a private lake, but this cabin is also situated on the property of Susan Butcher's historic dog mushing kennel where 34 Alaskan Huskies still reside. Being only 5 min. from the airport and 10 min. from the main part of town this cabin is accessible yet still feels cozy and private.

I was born into a family of dog mushers in the great state of Alaska. Being out in the wilderness and exploring with my family has shaped who I am today and nothing brings me more joy than to give guests from all over the world the opportunity to experience this wild lifestyle as well.

Why they chose this property

This cabin is conveniently close to stores and restaurants, yet is nestled in its own little patch of paradise for a private get away. The cabin is north facing with a beautiful wild flower garden out front, framing the private lake that guests are welcome to utilize. The Chena river is just a 10 min walk, through a forest trail that is accessible just behind the cabin.
