Friends get away

My husband and I along with another couple spent the week at the cabin to relax, fish, and play cards. The cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. Heidi was very easy to get along with. I will say if you have mobility issues getting down to the dock or back up to the cabin may be a problem, but for us we were ok. I suggest this for anybody who wants a quite week away.

Perfect lake cabin

My family of 4 had a great time here. The lake views and sunsets were amazing, the fishing was great (two largemouth bass over 3 lbs!), we saw bald eagles, loons, mink, Canadian geese, ducks and deer, and the location was perfect: close to town but very private. We never even saw a neighbor. The cabin itself was comfortable and there were so many little extras that made the stay even more enjoyable and showed how much the owners care. A soda stream machine, fire blankets just in case (may seem silly, but it made me feel like the owners have really taken the time to make sure everything is as safe as possible), wire baskets with battery operated lanterns next to each bed in the bunk room, games, a great booklet with all the information you might need about the house, the area, the best local places to eat and more. They even had a book about the local history and another dedicated to tying fishing knots. It was our favorite lake house rental!

This is a very comfortable cabin with the most well-stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental property. It had every tool we could've wanted, and even very sharp knives. The view of the lake is beautiful. There is a short walk down to the lake which might be difficult if guests had mobility problems, but we weren't troubled by that. We fished every day without much success; others didn't seem to be catching anything either. It's a big lake and might take a while to learn the best spots. The host was very responsive to our questions as we planned for the visit.

Lakeside oasis

We recently had a great trip “up north.” This property was great for our family. Lots of outdoor and indoor games. The kids loved paddle boarding and laying in the hammock. We loved the lake side fires and watching sunsets on the water. The host were gracious enough to move the dock to accommodate our pontoon rental for the week. They were also great at responding to our inquiries. We had all the amenities we needed for the week. Bait shop and local grocery were also near by. We hope to return.

Relaxing getaway

Our family (2 adults, 4 kids ages 9-15) had a wonderful time during our week at the cabin. Our kids really enjoyed the bunk room and appreciated the lamps and storage baskets next to each bed. The master suite is roomy and has a perfect view of the lake. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed as far as utensils and appliances. While we loved the cabin, the outside areas were really the best part for us. Heidi and Paul have done an outstanding job making the lakefront area cozy and inviting. Plenty of seating options, a hammock, yard games and a firepit were all used almost constantly throughout the week. The dock is sturdy and was fairly private. We only saw one neighbor pass by a few times on their boat all week. Everyone agreed that we would gladly stay here again!

Peaceful home away from home!

My family and my sons two friends had such an amazing time. The rooms are super spacious that even the bunk bed room was big enough for 4 boys (2-12 yr olds and 2- 14 yr olds). The master bedroom was wonderful and had the best view of the lake and property. All the beds were comfortable. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of space in the main area of the cabin for every one to sit and lounge. The chairs in the living room area were super comfortable to sit in, have tea in the morning, look right out to the late view, and read a book. The property was wonderful, all the trees and the lake front area was amazing. Sandy beach, water front picnic table for lunches by the water, very nice dock with a large space at the end for people to gather (we put chairs on it and watched the kids swim and fish), and the fire pit is by the water as well. There is nothing more peaceful than sitting by a fire next to a lake and under the stars. It was like our own quiet oasis. No one around but us. We loved watching the deer that came into the neighbors yard. The owners Heidi and Paul were super nice and available if we needed them. We are so grateful that they shared their place with us so that we were able to make amazing memories with our kids. Oh and I almost forgot to mention we were able to bring our 2 year old pup with us and he had such an amazing time as well.
