Escape to this charming guest house nestled in the serene heart of the valley, offering awe-inspiring views of the majestic mountains and the picturesque valley. Conveniently located near downtown Durango and the Purgatory Ski Resort, this cozy retreat provides easy access to a myriad of activities. Step inside and be enchanted by the breathtaking mountain scenery that envelops you. The inviting living room features a comfortable sleeper couch for extra guests and a cozy sitting area by the fire, perfect for unwinding with a good book. The well-equipped kitchen with bar seating has everything you need to prepare delicious meals for your loved ones. The master bedroom is a luxurious sanctuary with a king-size bed, an in-room TV, and a private en suite bath, as well as access to the deck for a tranquil outdoor escape. Another bedroom offers a sumptuous queen bed, while the third bedroom is an adventurous delight for young guests with two charming twin bunk beds, all sharing a well-appointed full bath. The expansive outdoor deck provides a delightful space to relax and soak in the splendor of the mountains. Furthermore, a section of the garage has been transformed into a lively game room, complete with various games, darts, and a ping pong/air hockey table. Outside, parking is available for up to 3 vehicles. Please note that accessing the home requires climbing several stairs. (This is a guest home. The owners live on site in the home next door and there is an additional guest apartment on the property.)

*This home can comfortably accommodate 6 adults and 4 children. We may consider more adults guests with additional per night fees (still only up to 10 guests maximum). Please inquire with us for more information. Prices shown are for 6 adult guests only.

This home is dog friendly, up to two dogs maximum. The owners do live on site and appreciate guests respecting this rule and not bringing more than 2 pets. House was lovely. There was limited privacy in the master bedroom with the master bath, which was difficult with our teenagers. We also didn't realize there were other people staying on the property. Neither of these were an issue, we would absolutely stay here again. The house was well stocked and the views were breathtaking.

The unit itself is lovely and updated. Huge porch and yard area with a hammock that our kids loved! Parking is a bit tricky as it is on a steep hill. There are multiple rental units in the same building so you are working around other cars and guests. The other guests were very kind and helpful. If you have difficulty with stairs, this is not the rental for you as the stairs to the entrance are steep. The hall bathroom door doesn't have a lock and the shower is tricky to turn on, even with the instructions. The rental is also on the far north side of town, about 10-15 minutes to most things in town. This makes it nice and quiet but just know it's a bit out of town. We didn't discover the garage until the last day and there was ping pong and air hockey down there.

Beautiful view-deck was spectacular! Perfect for a family with fully stocked kitchen. Able to make meals with plenty of pots, pans, dishes etc. The main living area was spacious and lovely with several windows. Check-in was seamless with responsive communication. There is a studio rental directly below and a family lives on the premises as well. Quiet hours were appreciated. Not the best option for older folks or those who have mobility issues due to stairs, high beds, high tub entry and several floor transitions (things my kids didn't notice, but my mom did ;0). Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay. The location was great, easy access to downtown Durango and other areas. The views from the rental were spectacular. It was clean and comfortable. We all thought the beds were comfy as well. Would stay again if we come back to the area.

Terrific location for summer stay

The location was perfect for anyone visiting the summer sights in Durango. Only minutes from downtown attractions and on the road towards Silverton, this house certainly met our needs for our one week stay.

Great stay

Perfect spot for 4 adults and 2 kids for a long weekend close to town but it also feels like you are in the valley. The deck is incredible and I wanted to spend the whole time out there. One of the best rentals I have ever stayed in. 10/10 would book again!

The trees were in all their glory!! The view from the property was awesome. We each had our own space and it was well appointed. Comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything you needed. My favorite thing was watching the train go by! We went to the ski resort and had a great day riding the ski lift, alpine slide and the coaster. Such a great location. Would love to return

Family time

We visited in early/mid June, and had a great time with extended family. The house was very comfortable for our family group. We spent a lot of time out on the deck enjoying the very scenic view. We all enjoyed our stay at this house, and would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful View Animas Valley Home

This home has a huge deck with a fabulous view. The living room has a vaulted ceiling with windows overlooking the deck lets you enjoy the view from inside as well. The location is great - just a few miles from the center of town, grocery stores etc. A great spot for families.

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful property. Yes the pictures of that deck view are accurate- absolutely beautiful!! The unit is clean, nicely appointed and well located for your Durango area adventure. We would highly recommend.
