Wee Bit of Heaven Mountain View Escape

Lower level of Mountain View home. 2 large rooms with2 king sized beds. I-40 exit for Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Fantastic restaurants. Smoky Mountain National Park. Unlimited entertainment.Dollywood. 30 minutes from Knoxville for culture, plays and opera. Quiet peaceful area with pasture woods and mountains surrounding but close to action. Full house generator so never a loss of power in any kind of storm!
I am a wildlife rehabber and take care of abandoned or injured opossums and squirrels. Guests can learn about wildlife if they choose and assist me feeding babies! This has been enormously popular with some of my guests!
We have the best restaurants, shopping, shows, and attractions. We are not far from a casino. We will do all we can to help you have a great time! Questions ? Just send me a message through this site and we will be happy to help!

Felt like home away from home. Some nice extras in the kitchen and bathroom like fresh cream in the fridge, coffee pods and toiletries.Only difficulty was the steep curved driveway, but we got used to it.

Home Away From Home

Doreen was the absolute best host. She is second to none. She literally thought of everything you might possibly need and had it available for you. Her apartment is beautifully decorated and so cozy.

Much more than a "Wee Bit"

My wife and I absolutely loved our far too short of a stay at Wee Bit of heaven! Doreen doesn't leave anything out in furnishing everything you could ever need. So peaceful and relaxing first thing in the morning having alone time with the Savior out on the porch rocking in the chairs and hearing a host of various birds. Just can't praise "Wee Bit of Heaven" enough!!! Lord willing, we'll be making a return trip next year!

Perfect!

This is the perfect place for a family of 3 or 4... Two big rooms with two big beds. Extremely clean, in a fantastic neighborhood, and a short drive to all the attractions. Absolutely no criticisms or complaints at all. Would stay again for sure!

It truly was a wee bit of heaven!

This place will definitely be on our list to visit again. The cleanliness alone is worth it. Everything we needed was right there. The beds were super comfortable. And it felt as comfortable as being at home. Doreen was awesome and went out of her way to share her passion for wildlife and include my family on their care. Looking forward to our next trip!

Nice property, beautiful view

Will definitely stay again! Clean and comfortable! My daughter and I stayed here when she moved into her dorm at UT Knoxville. Nice neighborhood in the mountains. Would be perfect to visit Dollywood and Gatlinburg. They have everything you need!

Beautiful place, perfect location ❤️

The property was better than I had imagined. You really can see mountains from the basement porch, and just a short walk up the hill and you can see a whole range of them. The accommodations were clean, cool, and comfortable. Doreen always responded quickly anytime I messaged, and we were fortunate enough to get to see some baby opossums. We hope to come back again!

Event trip

Was in Kodak working an event and just needed a place to sleep. Its a beautiful home, its the basement which has been turned into a gorgeous apartment, 2 king size beds, small kitchen area, 1 bathroom, both rooms are huge. Felt like home away from home. Quiet neighborhood. Doreen was very friendly. Would definitely consider this home for future stays!

Wonderful stay

Doreen is amazing, the location is beautiful, and place is exactly as described. Doreen was very responsive, answered our questions and let us meet the animals, which was one of the highlights of our trip for my daughters. An absolute delight

Doreen was amazing. She had everything ready for our arrival. Clean and comfortable. She even took the time and showed our granddaughter her animals. The only thing that would have made it better was if it didn't rain all day one of our days but that is not the hosts fault. Would definitely recommend.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and State permitted wildlife rehabber living in the beautiful foothills of the Smoky Mountains. I am originally from Long Island, New York and moved to Tennessee 14 years ago. I rehab opossums and squirrels on my property and love to share my rescued wildlife care with my guests. We have a peaceful quiet environment and love to see family, friends and guests relax at our property!

Why they chose this property

You will be staying on the lower level of a mountain view house. You can find peace and quiet in the apartment and action galore in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We are close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the most visited national park in the country. Our Route 66 is loaded with all tkinds of entertainment: Visit Dolly Parton's Dollywood Theme Park and dinner shows, Titanic, wax museum, car shows, horse back riding, white water rafting and more. 30 minutes to Knoxville you have Broadway shows and opera at our Tennessee Theater and other venues.

What makes this property unique

We are pet friendly for well-behaved, house broken dogs but we must talk before hand to see if your pet is suitable for our property. We are residential and loudly barking dogs would not be a good fit for this property. I am a wildlife rehabber, permitted by the
State of Tennessee. Our guest love seeing baby opossums and squirrels being rehabilitated in the rear of our property.
