Welcome to the Grindstone Schoolhouse LLC.

This historic building was built in 1906 and fully remodeled in the 1990s into an inn with 5 private bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom (or two)! At nearly 10,000 sq ft total, the areas are very spacious and perfect for your large group to gather.

The top floor Master Suite has a new King mattress, a twin bed, his and hers bathrooms, and it’s own kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. The bell tower extends from the Master Suite and has a futon and a great view of the countryside.

On the second floor you’ll find four large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Two of the rooms have two queen beds and walk-in kitchenettes with a seating area. The other two bedrooms have one queen bed each. Every room has a TV, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot.

The Main floor features an 1100 sq ft Great Room, fully equipped kitchen, and dining room/den. There is also a half bath and laundry room. The finished basement has a TV, pool table, air hockey table, foosball table, dartboard and poker table.

Outside there is a wraparound deck, fire pit, and lots of room to run around!

The Grindstone Schoolhouse is located 4.5 miles from downtown Port Austin, MI, and just a half-mile from historic Grindstone City.
