About this property
TRASK RIVER HOUSE: A unique home with great views!
Trask River House is a 4 bedroom home on 31 acres that overlooks the beautiful Trask River Valley. This private home has exceptional views of the Valley and Coastal Mt ranges. Great home base to explore the north and south coastline. Renovated in 2022. Even my grandparents who built this home would love what we have done to TRASK RIVER HOUSE!
We are intermittently onsite for landscaping maintenance.
PLEASE READ: I apologize in advance for my frankness, however this is my family home.
This is an amazing property for family and friends to gather. I am more than happy to help guests plan their Pacific NW adventure. However, our home and as hosts, we are not a good fit for people wanting to come for the weekend to party and get heavily intoxicated. We ask if that is your intention, that you find a property and hosts that better fit your needs.
The space TRASK RIVER HOUSE has huge picture windows that bring the vistas indoor as you sit aside the large wood burning fireplace (firewood available outside).
The TRH kitchen has dozens of additional appliances and tools. Dinnerware and seating for up to 20 friends and family makes this an excellent venue for family reunions, or just a weekend getaway!
The TRH sun-room serves as the 4th bedroom with a 180 degree unobstructed views of the stars and sunrises. Our hot tub and BBQ patio is next to this multi-purpose family room and bedroom.
Pacific NW room (Bedroom One) has a new queen size bed and sitting area with views of the gardens. PNW Room shares a double sink vanity and shower with the Hydrangea room.
The Hydrangea Room (Bedroom Two) has a queen size bed and sitting area in lovely hues of gray and antique pink. It looks out to the gardens.
The Rose Room (Bedroom Three) is the master suite: a new king size bed with sitting area and computer desk. The huge picture window brings the valley and gardens to your doorstep! En suite bathroom.
All bedrooms have twin roll-away beds in spacious closets.
Tillamook Game Room: air hockey, Foosball, large screen TV, plenty of board games, puzzles, card games, pool table, and game room furniture. A nearby half bath shortens pit stop times!
- Beautiful flower gardens (hydrangeas, peonies, lavender, day Lillies, lilacs, and much more). - Delicious fruit orchard (seasonal pears, plums, apples) - Tables and chairs for meals and relaxing outside. Plenty of room for larger events - Wood fire pit is seasonal. Firewood NOT provided. - Option of tent camping or RVs if holding a larger event. Note that an additional fee will be charged. Check with owner. - Tables and chair available to rent.
We have 3 outdoor resident cats.

Great house for a family vacation. Spacious and comfortable. Lots of seating and areas for groups to relax or play games. Wonderful outside area and view. We'll stay here again!
Our stay was incredible. The home offers so much we could have just spent our time there. Hot tub with view, sun porch with view was perfect for reading, plenty of cozy fire options inside and outside, spacious and clean. It was also nearby so many outdoor options: lighthouses, coast line, state parks, Creamery with tours, hiking, museums, disc golf. Checked all boxes and more! Host was super responsive, too. Will definitely stay again.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left our interactions with Angela our host was top notch. The view of the countryside was spectacular and the house has so many amenities we enjoyed everything it had to offer. Thank you Angela for making it a wonderful stay we are definitely coming back. The location is perfect for anything you plan to do for a coastal vacation from the beaches to fishing to shopping etc, etc, etc.

I am so happy you enjoyed our home! We look forward to hosting you again!
All of my favorite things - soft sheets, comfy beds, good mugs, and a tea kettle. Lots of sitting areas, inside & out. The landscape is lovely, with a farmland view I could never tire of, and the cows - I love the cows!
It's a retreat for the soul - thank you for sharing your home.
The property owner was excellent & easily accessible. Entry to the property was a breeze & the overall location is beautiful. The only thing I would recommend is to let your guests know prior to renting is that there are cats present and I only say that because my sister is allergic, but overall she had a blast being there.
Thank you
Angela
This house was everything it was advertised and more…the property was very clean, secluded, very comfortable furniture/beds, stocked with tons of dishes and glasses, the best game room imaginable and the view was perfect. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more!
An incredible property with breathtaking views and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hosts have gone above and beyond to create a beautiful oasis with all the amenities you could ever imagine from the bbq patio with grill, hot tub, firepit and hammocks outside to the sunroom for reading or bird watching as well as the entertainment room downstairs with pool table, ping pong, air hockey, foosball… the list goes on! The home has a fantastic layout with a flood of natural light and stylish design touches throughout. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were all bright and spacious with comfortable beds for the best quality sleep. Highly recommend this hidden gem to all looking for a wonderful and reenergizing vacation!

About the host
Hosted by Angela Hunter
Our home was built by my grandparents in 1973, my grandfather a dairy farmer and business man. Our family immigrated to Tillamook from Switzerland to farm over 100 years ago. I was raised on a dairy farm about 2 miles from our home. I purchased our home and 31 acres in 2012, with plans to raise my 4 children there. I met my husband in 2014 while completing Grad school in Seattle, which lead to us moving to Vancouver, WA in 2016. We had longterm renters for a few years, but I missed my beautiful home. We decided to renovate the home, and open the doors to short term renters, allowing us to share and enjoy our home again.
Why they chose this property
The property is very unique, with a modern artistic flare, with a little bit of whimsy. I spent 18 months collecting furniture and jotting down ideas. This isn't just a short term rental, it is my home. I wanted to create a fun, beautiful, relaxing space. The kitchen is equipped so I can make family holiday dinners. I love to bake, so there are ample baking pans.
What makes this property unique
Our home offers an amazing view, with many areas to relax and take a break from life.
