Had to get VRBO, to get owner to respond to me for check info. Was suppossed to around June 15th, her words. 4 days before we were to leave, owner said bathrm ceiling was leaking. She stated she would refund our money. I was ok with leak, as long as there was no mold. 30 steps to rental, find out stove didn't work. Then a bad odor coming from the Bi-fold door that she had a pad lock on. She told me to grab maintance guy, and check it out. I caught up with him on July 10th. The bifold door was not attached to wall, you could still slide it open. She Accused us of breaking her door down. I'm glad the maintance guy was there to see, we did not do that. Smell was aweful. Moldy clothes were left in washer, inches thick in mold. I cleaned all 3 Moldy, Filthy Air Conditioner filters. Everytime we had a issue, she told us to leave. Demanded Actually. She would Pro-rate our refund, that days at least 5 days to return. If a 10 yr old daughter, and would have no place to go and no money for it, ON july 4th weekend. She Did not offer to put us up somewhere else at all. Apparently, she found out she would have to, when she called VRBO. It could be a nice rental, if owner would go there once in awhile, and make sure things were fixed, and clean.
When we left, roof still leaked, and she now has a massive waterfall coming of the corner of her roof, over looking porch, which occurred after roofers left when it rains heavy.
