About this property

Glass Cottage Overlooking Beartooth Mountain Range

This spectacular, exquisite cottage is the perfect getaway spot for those looking for secluded privacy with a million dollar view! Perched atop a hill overlooking the full Beartooth Mountain Range, The Glass Cottage lives up to its name. Breathtaking views of the picturesque rugged mountain range can be seen from every room in this luxurious log cottage through the large, glass windows. On beautiful days, you can open up all the sliding glass doors to have the full Montana experience with the fresh mountain air.

The Glass Cottage has one bedroom with a king bed and there is radiant floor heating throughout. Soak your worries away in the hot tub as you look out over the beautiful Montana landscape - far away from people or the chaos of life’s challenges! There is also a luxurious European style shower. The cottage is fully stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen supplies.

You will find ultimate peace when cozied up by the outdoor fireplace, as you take in the sounds of the birds and stillness of nature. You may even see some deer, elk, or other wildlife. There is also a passthrough fireplace inside the cottage, so you can enjoy the flames and warmth from either the living area or while enjoying a meal in the kitchen.

The Glass Cottage is located 8 miles west of Roberts, Montana, and is 30 minutes away from the historic town of Red Lodge. There you will find unique stores, delicious restaurants, and a variety of historic museums. And you won’t want to miss taking a drive up the spectacular Beartooth Highway, which climbs to 11,000 feet and provides endless views of the Beartooth Mountain Range. This road has been dubbed one of the most scenic drives in the country! And it also leads into the entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

If you are looking for a secluded, luxurious property, with full access to unending activities in the mountains, the Glass Cottage is your perfect Montana getaway!

Please note: This property is a natural log and stone home located in a remote, secluded country location. Although it is rare, there may be times where our best proactive pest control methods aren't 100% effective. We do our best to spray for bugs and minimize any outdoor pests, but we cannot guarantee that there might not be an issue. Also, this property may not be the most ideal for people who don't want to be in a secluded, rural location. The home is located 8 miles West of Roberts, MT, and most of that distance is on dirt/gravel roads. For those traveling in the winter months (from September through May), we require guests have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The roads are county roads and are plowed regularly. However, we can not guarantee that they will be plowed by a certain time. The driveway into the property can also get drifted easily. We will do our absolute best to keep things plowed, but during blizzards or bad storms, we may be delayed. There is also no WiFi or Internet. A TV and DVD player are available, along with a variety of DVDs. Cell service is usually pretty good for most providers (Verizon has great cell service at this property).

Gorgeous house, stunning location -- for romance or isolation!
This is a unique house in a fantastic location: the mountain views (which you can take in through the floor-to-ceiling windows featured on one entire side of the house) are stunning, and change hourly and daily. The furniture is modern, yet comfortable, and perfectly decorated. Walking in felt like opening to the centerfold of "House Beautiful." Better yet, the house is well-appointed and cozy: the bed was great, the fireplace heated things up nicely, and I appreciated the array of pots, pans and condiments. Bring your old CD collection to test out the bangin' whole-house sound system! The only small issue is privacy, in that there really isn't any inside. Though the house is isolated on a hill and we never saw nor heard another human, the interior of the house features an open ceiling throughout: no walls extend all the way up. The moment someone wakes up in the morning, everyone else kind of has to get up, too, because sound carries from the kitchen all the way back to the bedroom. And using the bathroom was interesting; my husband or I would crank up the sound system and ask the other person to sit across the room, since the toilet is separated from the couch only by a 6-inch-thick, 10-feet-high frosted glass wall). Make sure you stay here with someone you love and are comfortable with! This is NOT a good place for families or friend groups. And be sure you have a four-wheel drive vehicle, particularly in the winter, or else you'll struggle to make it up the driveway!
