We loved this property and will be back - so clean, it had everything we needed and then some, and the coffee cake was the best surprise. Great location for UTV trails, lots of room for parking and backing a trailer. Super friendly owner. Can’t wait to book again!
Beautiful farmhouse!!! Everything was so clean and loved the decor. Fully stocked with everything you need! Beautiful scenery. Loved watching the deer and turkeys. We were welcomed with homemade cinnamon coffee cake! Delicious!!! Thank you for having us! Would definitely come back!
Absolutely amazing!! Loved the little farmhouse! Everything I wanted and more. Great place for family! My grandson couldn’t get enough of this place…so much room for him to run around. Beautiful scenery. The owners were also really great people. Definitely coming back!!
This lovely farmhouse was perfectly located to enjoy all of the area sites. We enjoyed the rural area…beautiful scenery with many animal sitings. The owners are fantastic people, and are definitely available if needed but not going to encroach on your trip if not. The banana bread was a much appreciated welcome gift.
My family and i spent 6 days at Rick and Jody's amazing home while exploring the black hills. This house had everything we needed and then some and was very well decorated to make a person feel at home. Walking in and haveing a very nice personal note and fresh banana bread was the iceing on the cake for us. We would recommend this house a million times over and when we come back to South Dakota there is no question where we are staying.
The property was very clean and organized. The hosts do a great job making their guests feel welcomed and informed about the house and the area. They even welcomed us with homemade sweet bread and a kind note. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved this house! Great location! Very clean. Had yummy zucchini bread waiting for us when we got there! It was a gem of a house in a beautiful location! Loved everything about it!
This was our second stay at the Farmhouse and it won't be our last. The hosts Jody and Rick are the best and talking with them was really nice. The house has everything you need for your getaway. The location for us was ideal because we bring our UTV and the trails are very close, so we didn't have to trailer it to a trails. The zucchini bread is always a highlight....yum.
Wonderful place to spend our Black Hills vacation. The birds and turkeys were fun to watch and the quiet location was ideal. The convenience of the UTV/ATV trail system was a plus for us. We logged over 500 miles and never had to trailer once. Jody and Rick were awesome to deal with and the bread was very yummy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Great hosts. Jody and Rick were fantastic. We where greeted with a fresh bake bannana nut bread. Cook to perfection. Very quiet and peaceful. Within 30mins of all the tourist attractions. Thanks for a great stay.
My husband and I stayed about a week. The house was perfect and Rick and Jody couldn’t be sweeter! Quiet location, perfect for disconnecting and relaxing. Jody even made some homemade banana bread that was delicious. House had everything you could need with a beautiful view. Definitely recommend!!
We can think of nothing that would have made our visit better. Jody was very kind, the property was amazing, our kids felt very comfortable and slept well, the views and wildlife were fantastic. When we return to the black hills area, we will stay again. Thank you for a lovely visit!
This is a farmhouse from the 1920s located in the northwest of Nemo, South Dakota. The house is fully equipped with modern amenities, and everything works perfectly. We enjoyed the house's central location as it was conveniently located between Deadwood, Sturgis, Rapid City, and the Needles Highway area. Additionally, the area surrounding Nemo is ideal for off-highway vehicle trails, such as full-size jeeps and side-by-side rigs. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.
Upon entering the property there was a note to my husband and I and then one specifically to my husband. I had written that he likes to take hikes in the morning and the note was explaining to him some places to hike on their property. And of course like other posters - homemade banana bread. This is truly a great place to stay and these guys are the epitome of what a host should be!
The house was spotless inside and out. Jody had a nice card and loaf of bread waiting for us. The location is great for UTV trail riding with plenty of parking for trailers. They have it stocked with just about everything you need. The beds were comfortable and all appliances work good. The WIFI works great but no streaming, we just used our cable to stream off our phones.
We will 100% book this place again!
We had the pleasure of staying at Simply Farmhouse for four nights. Our family of four, 2 boys 9 & 12, really enjoyed the location and the house with all of the amenities. The farmhouse is close to most of the west South Dakota attractions, which makes it easy for day trips and to pack a cooler for lunches and snacks. We also always try to stay at a place with laundry and other amenities so we can pack less, which simply farmhouse had! If we forgot anything… Jody and Rick had it. They were very communicative and kind. We even got to purchase some local Swag to wear in town! The boys loved the animals, playing football in the large yard and campfires. The house fit our family perfectly with 2 bedrooms, a mud room and a large room which connected to the bathroom that we used for other gear. If you are on the fence about this property, book now…it won’t stay open for long! We’ll be back next year for sure!
A slice of heaven in the edge of Nemo! This cute little place could be for all ages as there is a yard area to play, porch and deck for sitting, fire pit, and is a spacious quaint farmhouse with dvds and games! The hosts are right there if needed, yet is very private. Plenty of things to do and plenty of suggestions by the hosts!
A great place to unwind. This is our second stay here and I am sure there will be more to come. The place was clean cozy and quiet. The Hosts are simply super people. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. Thanks so much!
The house was beautiful. And the view from the house was even more spectacular. It was the perfect place for our visit to South Dakota. They were extremely accommodating and even gave us some history of the house as well as some information since we are looking to move here in the near future. Cannot recommend this place enough.
The whole stay was amazing. Not only is the location perfect and tranquil but Jody is the perfect hostess. So friendly and welcoming. One thing we took advantage of is having no television reception which allowed us to have great conversations and to enjoy sitting on the front porch and outdoor swings. We booked a longer stay for next year!
