Long Term Stay
Context: My family and I (including newborn and dog) stayed for two and a half months.
Location:
The location is great! It's close to numerous beaches and is a short drive to most of the Carlsbad area. The Mexican restaurants within walking distance area are all absolutely delicious. Check out the Oceanside Sunset Market every Thursday evening!
Only downside is the place doesn't have any in-unit laundry. You'll have to make do with the community's laundry rooms that cost a couple dollars each to wash and dry.
Cleanliness:
It could be better. The common traffic areas, bedrooms and bathrooms, are cleaned well. However, we had to use things in the condo that short-term vacation goers don't typically use. Particularly in the kitchen: pots, pans, condiments, the refrigerator, anything tucked away in cabinets all had to be cleaned and sanitized prior to use. They don't seem to be cleaned if guests don't go out of their way to do so. There were also a couple carpet stains that were permanent that pre-dated our stay.
The Host: Scott was incredibly accommodating with all of our requests for our extended stay. He even sent the cleaners every couple weeks to freshen up the place.
Unfortunately, his responsiveness is inconsistent, sometimes he will respond to your inquiries immediately, other times it takes upwards to a day, and worst case he doesn't respond at all.
Overall, our family had a great extended stay and I recommend the place to anyone checking out the Oceanside area.
