Private location but still easy access to Alexandria Bay and Clayton. The house wes clean and has plenty of space inside and out. I would/will stay there again.
Check in was a breeze. Our host George was easy to reach and communicate with. The house is roomy and comfortable. It is close to shops and Uncle Sam's boat tours in Alexandria Bay. The house is off a quiet, picturesque road making it a nice place to get away and relax. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely rent out the house again
The property was perfect, very clean. Owner was very accommodating in letting us check in early and making himself available if we needed him. Overall we had a wonderful stay!
Outstanding host. Very clean and comfortable property. My friends and I will very likely stay there next year. Host was very responsive to communications. Helpful
Was a fantastic experience from the start. Communication was top notch, the house was extremely clean and organized and had a lot more things than I would expect to accommodate the time there. Property was close enough to anything you want to do but far enough that you could relax outside without hearing anything. Will stay here again without a doubt!!
The house is lovely, well-sized, plenty of supplies (linens, towels, kitchen, etc). It was fantastic having two bathrooms and the use of a garage cannot be overstated when you have a family of six to unpack for. It is sooo close to Alex Bay, but also away from the tourist craziness. Very convenient to everything. Our only concern was that it appears there may have been a feline presence at one point and three of us have allergies.
Great property. Clean, well maintained and well stocked with essentials. George made himself available at all times for questions. There is lots of room to invite family members for dinner. Great outdoor space. Close to Alex Bay. Will stay again when in the area.
George was a wonderful host! He was finishing up the yard work as we arrived, he graciously let us check in a few hours early as he had no guests the day prior. Very friendly and respectful. The home had everything we needed, was very clean aside from some dusty spots I wouldn’t have even noticed if it weren’t for my restless toddlers, and had a truly wonderful yard we were happy to run around in. Beds were comfy, AC was cold.. he even left a little toy for my son. 10/10
This was a great place to stay for an extended weekend trip! The location was ideal for touring and fishing the Thousand Island area. We had plenty of room inside the house and outside. Would definitely recommend staying here!
We had an awesome weekend at this house! The host, George was great! I highly recommend staying here. It was so much better than a hotel, roomy, comfortable and inviting.
Great quiet location. House is very spacious. Boat was able to fit in the garage for rigging tackle and organizing at night. Host is very friendly, even got a visit from the neighboring cattle strolling through their pasture area.
Would certainly search this place out next time I’m here fishing on the river!
Our stay was overall okay, but I wouldn't stay here again - it's clear within 3 seconds of walking into the house that people have smoked within it. This smell is awful to be surrounded by in general, and especially unexpectedly when you are paying someone for lodging (if it was a hotel I would immediately ask for another room, or ask for a refund); it also seeps into your clothes and luggage. There were also other parts of the house that were not as clean as they should have been, with notable cobwebs and dust. We appreciated the amount of space to hang out, the outside patio, and George's general communication, although he arrived 5 minutes before the check-out time which made us feel very rushed. And while it is not listed as an 'amenity' for the property listing, I assumed that any place in 2025 is going to have a wi-fi connection available (especially when that place is close to Canada and likely to have visitors who cannot easily use the US wireless data connection on their phones) or at least note the situation; this house does not have any type of wi-fi access, and even for US visitors, the data connection is weak. Just worth being aware of.
Driving up to this property took our breath away. It is set on a lovely country road. Beautiful landscaping, well maintained.
The house set up was perfect. A good sized, stocked kitchen (3 cooks in our group) enabled easy meal prep. The bedroom layout provided privacy. Lots of soace for a relaxing getaway
Great place to stay. Well maintained property centrally located in the 1000 Islands Region allowing you to explore all the things the area has to offer. Property owner great to deal with. Quick to answer any questions and to offer suggestions of things to see and do in the area. Would stay again if back in the area.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights in July to visit Clayton and Alex Bay. We found the place to be clean, comfortable, and convenient to both towns. Communication with the host was excellent and he went out of his way to make us feel at home and answer any questions. For those with allergies: please be aware that there is a faint smoke odor in the house.
