We had 11 people in our group and this cabin worked out nicely. Parking was a little tight with a steep hill for a driveway and we had 3 trucks with trailers plus a car, but we made it work.Communication from the property was timely and accurate. Great place and would stay again.
Was beautiful cabin and plenty of room for our group of 12. Pet friendly is awesome. Only downside is no air conditioning as upstairs does get warm on warmer days. Could definitely use air conditioning. Fire pit could use some updating. Would stay again if had air conditioning.
This lovely home, Eagle's Nest, in the Black Hills of South Dakota is a wonderful choice for your stay. We enjoyed the comfort & location so much. Meeting with family has been something we look forward to & this year was another memory to cherish. An additional delight was being visited by grazing deer Sunday morning. Thank you to the owners for the privilege to rent your lovely home.
House was perfect and fully equipped just bring food and clothes.
House was perfect could have said just pack your clothes and food house is fully equipped with all cooking appliances. Hill to house was steep and had to park trailers down below so had to ask neighbors for permission to park there, only room for 1 trailer by house.
We really enjoyed staying in your cabin. Plenty of room for everyone (8 adults and two dogs) there were lots of games for playing cards or board games available in the cabin. A tub full of coloring books and activity books if you have children. There was adequate cooking utensils and cookware. The trails here are wonderful! If we had any questions or problems Darek was quick to respond. Thanks again, the Arkansas clan
Excellent place looked exactly like the photos showed
We got the larger place in case extra friends passed through to hunt. It’s a Turkey hunter thing
so it was more than we needed but excellent place for large group plenty of beds, baths large kitchen and eating area
Exceeded my expectations!
And I rarely say that
Thank you Eagles Nest!
This cabin was so cute! Face towels, lotions, cotton swabs, etc provided in all bathrooms was a nice touch. Hot tub was huge and HOT. Only downside was no wifi but we all had data connection.
The house was big enough and had room for all of us . Had a lot of kettles and kitchen stuff to use. Was nice having the washer and dryer there for the kids wet clothes after they got out of the hot tub .
The kids were disappointed there was no place for them to go play . But we got by
Perfect for a group of 12! Kitchen has everything you need to make meals and store leftovers. Bedrooms and bathrooms are a nice size with lots of towels for a large group. The garage was perfect for 6 motorcycles, especially with the rain we had. We used the gas grill quite a bit, it ran out of propane and they even had a back up one on hand. They have definitely thought of everything to make sure you have what you need during your stay! Host was very responsive when I reached out during our stay, I would highly recommend this home!
Myself and a group of friends (14 of us in total) stayed at the cabin the last weekend in July. The cabin was perfect. There were plenty of rooms, beds, couches and extra spaces for air mattresses and cots for all of us to find places to sleep. The nights got cool enough that the lack of AC was not an issue at all, just open the windows. The location is beautiful, and it is close to a lot of fun things to do. We went golfing at the Lead Country Club and the Tomahawk Country Club, and we rented a party bus to get us to Deadwood and back one of the nights. I would absolutely look into staying here again the next time we have a large group of us wanting to visit the area.
Overall, this was a good experience. Easy to find but yet secluded. Cabin worked great for our family of 14. Our kids (ages 6-9) loved the hot tub. It is very close to Lead, SD and Deadwood, SD. Numerous activities to do within an hour of the cabin's location. The one downside to our stay, was the number of spiders we found within the downstairs bathroom and bedroom. I realize we are in the Blackhills and woods in general, and this type of thing is probably expected to some degree, but there were quite a few. All in all, would consider staying here again.
Our family had a terrific time in the Northern Black Hills and a big part of it was the home we stayed in. The check in was a breeze and the house was spotless. The cabin location was ideal with access to the central and southern Black Hills. We had a couple of thunderstorms roll through , one the night before we went four wheeling. This just added to the fun as when we finished we were covered with mud. The family rode the 1880 train from Hill City to Keystone and back. Great fund for the toddlers. Our teens and young adult hit the zip line and the Alpine slide. Hats off to the host we had one minor incident (a leak in one of the bathrooms). I contacted Derek and within an hour we had a plumber there to fix it. This is exactly what renters want is a responsive host. Forgot about the hot tub which was used a great deal.
This was a great space to hang out after a long day of hitting the UTV trails. It was quiet and there were so many deer around to watch. It was very close to Deadwood, also. We had plenty of room for our group of 10 and the toys. The host was very responsive. Highly recommend.
Second time staying at this cabin. Zero complaints, clean, quiet comfortable place to stay. Was trail riding, has plenty of parking for all of us. Will stay here again.
Great location and perfectly secluded from other cabins.
