This custom mining themed upscale cabin is nestled in the pine trees in the highly sought after Powder House Pass area outside of Deadwood/Lead. Being in the heart of the recreational corridor in the Northern Black Hills, you'll love the proximity to the local Mickelson Trail and snowmobile Trail #5 for your winter and summer adventures! Terry Peak is just a short 10 minute drive up the hill and you can actually catch a glimpse of the Eastern side of the mountain from the property! You can also enjoy the rim-rock canyon walls of Spearfish Canyon for a day of hiking, fly fishing and a summer cruise in as little as 5 minutes. ATV, snowmobile, hike, or bike straight from the cabin without having to worry about finding a trailhead, or stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy the old mining claims. With frequent wildlife, and incredible starry skies, the location couldn't be better. Keystone, Mount Rushmore, Hill City, and Custer State Park can all be accessed within under an hour's drive as well! Whether you're visiting the Black Hills for a relaxing getaway, a sight-seeing trip or an adventure-filled vacation, Iron Wheel Lodge is sure to make your trip delightful.

Once you've finished with your adventure filled days, coming home to your very own getaway cabin will be the icing on the cake. The design and upscale furnishings have been selected for comfort and relaxation. Spread out in the over 2100 sq. ft. of space with an open living/kitchen area is perfect for gathering while the wood flooring and rock fireplace set the cabin mood. There's a 3 car garage for your vehicles and motorcycles, and a wrap around covered patio to enjoy the outdoors. You'll also be one of the closest cabins to the Powder House Pass clubhouse, so a short walk and you can enjoy a heated pool, gas fire-pit, pool table, shuffleboard, a gathering place and more! Excellent stay

This is a return visit to the Powder House Pass area but our first time at this rental. We would definitely stay again! The property was clean and as described. It was a very quick walk to the pool and the extra towels were perfect too use. We will stay again when we are back in the area.

Overall beautiful property! It’s a little more crowded than it shows in the pictures, but not bad. The master bed was super comfortable, but anytime anyone moved it was very loud. I didn’t stay upstairs but our friends that did said it needed to be dusted but their bed was very comfortable. The host was super responsive and we were even able to check in early since we arrived earlier than expected. Was very thankful to have a nice washer and dryer in the house. I would most likely stay here again in the future.

Deadwood retreat

Close to all sites we wanted to visit. Casino's, Mt Rushmore, Ironhorse, great food, wine & spirits as well local shops. We were able to attend a concert, wax museum, waterfall and a spa over the course of 5 nights and 4 days.

The only complaint we have is that the upper ledge needs a good cleaning as there was alot of dead flies. I know that is not an easy place to reach but needs a good cleaning.We also had two wasps and several flies daily in the house as they must be getting in from somewhere .We definitely would stay here again once these few issues are addressed..

Family reunion

The location of this house was great, close to the clubhouse and pool, and just a short drive to the town. The house was very clean, a nice size and layout for our group. Only disappointments were that the kitchen was sparsely equipped (there were only 4 bowls, no cutting board), and the on-demand hot water heater was unable to keep up if more than one shower was running at the same time. Otherwise it was a lovely home in a nice neighborhood, a great place for family to gather.
