This is a very nice cabin located in a quiet neighborhood. The beds are super comfortable & everything is very clean. The kitchen has a nice selection of various items to use while cooking. We would definitely stay here again!
You have a beautiful rental, so cozy. Really enjoyed the mule deer walking by daily. Quiet neighborhood, so close to Deadwood too. Hot tub was a bonus.
Our family of 8 enjoyed our stay—the furniture was in great shape, the house very clean and plenty of towels, extra bedding and kitchen supplies including all the little things most rentals don’t provide like bags, coffee filters, and spices. By far, one of the best rentals we have stayed at.
We were able to stretch out, cook out and relax after a lot of miles traveled. Then went on to our next adventure. Would definitely recommend the property.

Beautiful property in quiet neighborhood. Nicely outfitted for anything you might need. Responsive owner. Would definitely recommend especially if your traveling with a larger group.
Second time staying. Family ski trip. Great location to Terry Peak. Well maintained and decorated 4 bedroom older home with relaxing hot tub. Up on a hill. Enjoyed the deer and turkeys in the morning. Would stay again.
The property was just as listed. Our host, Carol, we provided a welcome gift. I would definitely stay here again and would encourage anyone who is looking for a great entertaining location this is your place!!!

Ryan and his group were so wonderful to host. Everything was left in extremely perfect order
The property was very close to almost all things we intended to do. Accomodations were very nice. Wish the main master bedroom had a little better mattress. I think a box spring on the bed would have helped. We enjoyed our stay

Thank you for the review and the suggestion regarding the mattress. When the mattresses were purchased we were told no box was required. You are the first guest to suggest this and we appreciate it.
We had a great stay at Black Barrel Lodge. The location is quiet and well situated as a jumping-off point for sightseeing in the region. It is a reasonable drive from Rapid City, and we easily spent one day in the Badlands, one day in Custer State Park (Mt Rushmore), and one day going north to hike to the falls and see Deadwood and Sturgis. It is also an easy distance to Devil's Tower in WY as well. The hot tub access was a nice addition to a long day hiking/sightseeing, and the secluded area was very restful. Downtown Lead is just a short drive away, with nice options for food, a little shopping, and a little immersion into the history of the area. For the two of us, the main floor was plenty of space, but there were multiple bedrooms downstairs for larger groups. Parking was easy as well for one car next to the garage - the garage was offered if needed, but we didn't bother. This location was a perfect setting for our trip to SD, and I would highly recommend!

Thank you so much for your awesome review. We appreciate it so much when guests really tell us what they enjoyed about Lead and the Black Hills region as a whole and not to mention going into detail as to how they enjoyed being in our home. We hope your travel adventures bring you to the Black Hills again in the future and you give us the opportunity to host you again.
We go to SD multiple times per year, this was one of our favorite homes. We enjoyed 4 deer in the yard one afternoon upon our return from activities. The following morning the buck of the group strolled down the road, just feet away from the picture window. The home was impeccably clean, the hot tub stayed to temp and the host was incredible with response time. We were in need of nothing!
We come to the area every other year for the Sturgis Rally. We absolutely enjoyed staying in Lead at the Black Barrel Lodge. Very convenient location to alot of routes and destinations. The property was welcoming and clean after long days of riding/exploring. The jacuzzi and decks were also enjoyable. Property owner was great with hands off check in/check out, and communicated well via email/messages. Would highly recommend for any group wanting to visit the Black Hills area!
My friends & I rented this property for my bachelor party and our stay couldn't have been better! Tone of space for 5 guys and the yard was great for sitting around & enjoying the view. We all hope to be back!
The Black Barrel Lodge is an amazing place to stay. Very cozy, exceptionally clean, very comfortable beds, well furnished. Would highly recommend staying here.
