Obviously being Texans, we got a little hot without AC, but the host provided fans and we opened windows in the evening and cooled off nicely. Thank you. A wonderful experience!
Communication was great. The home was nice and clean. The parking is a little tight. This place does not have AC and when it is hot outside there are no darkening curtains to help it stay cooler inside.
Very clean, adorable property! Fully stocked with everything you will need! Parking is a little tricky but manageable. Less than 5 min from grocery store and Main Street. Definitely would book again!!
Beautiful home and a great stay. Parking was a touch tricky but they provided good instructions beforehand. Keycode wasn’t working initially but Kiel responded immediately with another option and followed up later to make sure we were all set. Would stay again.
This house was very cute and clean. Access to the property was slightly confusing, but the host was always available for any questions or issues we had.
The house was clean and super cute. It was stocked with more than enough towels, extra blankets, k-cups, etc…We even saw a mama and baby deer right outside of the window. Getting there was a little confusing using GPS, but the owner sent extra directions/parking information, which was helpful.
A little rough around the edges but comfortable and clean. We had a hard time finding it and parking was tricky but again adequate. Location was good for seeing most of the sights in the Black Hills. Town of Lead had a GREAT fireworks display for Independence Day and it was 90% visible from the yard of the house. Lead had a limited selection of restaurants but Spearfish is only 25 minutes away and has much more to choose from. Deadwood is closer but not our scene. Kitchen is adequately stocked but there are no extras like seasonings or pantry staples provided so bring them with you if you are going to cook. Communication with host was professional and timely but without any personal touches. The bedroom curtains are very thin, so expect to wake up early from the light coming in. All in all, adequate and comfortable but nothing special.
This cozy home is right in the middle of a historical area surrounded by beautiful surroundings. This home was so clean and welcoming. Love the decor! The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfy. It was a little hard to find. Just find the yellow building - The Boys and Girls Club. When facing the building, to the right is a kind of sketchy driveway - go up this driveway and at the end turn right. The owner, Keil was very responsive and helpful. He very quickly took care of a problem with a temporary neighbor to the Homestake Hideaway. We appreciated him very much. We would stay there again when in the area!
This home was an ideal location for us with lots of room inside. This home is adorably decorated inside! Love being able to make a few meals while on vacation. The host has supplied almost all the tools you might need. (Hand mixer would be awesome) Huge plus to have the washer and dryer. Full coffee pot or keurig for coffee in the morning. Lots of blankets/pillows/fans.Neighbors house is very close and like described parking is a bit tricky (make sure to read that over before arriving). The side road to the house by the boys and girls club is rough. Overall would totally recommend and would stay here again!
This was the coziest corner to enjoy our little Family of 3. It was clean, spacious, accommodating, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with Plenty of fresh towels, comfy beds, board games, a spacious loaded kitchen for home cooed meals, cozy furniture, fluffy blankets for the FIREPLACE! Even deer walking around the yard daily. Our host was superb, answering any question we had at arrival and throughout. We stayed 10 days for The Feast of Tabernacles and drove daily to Sturgis (15-20min). Central Location for site seeing and events. We felt very much at home We visited the local Delzer Chirpractor as planned. He had deer peeking in the window while we visited, he shared with us some of his local spots. He even shook the crab apple tree so we could feed the wildlife at Custer (for the third time!) Lillys Food Mart was walking distance from us for any groceries or medicine. Spearfish Canyon Lodge was our favorite Breakfast spot. Mivervas was a great value and beautiful Salad/Soup bar with friendly Staff as we stopped a couple times during our site seeing travels. The Badlands Was like out of Star Wars movie (our 11 year old son really enjoyed that) and we went to the popular Lewies Burgers for delicious burgers and wings( you have to try the cheese curds!!) Sooo much to see and Do on this trip, I know you'll Enjoy!!!
