This is a cute old house with all the charm of its age. The bathroom is on the main floor and the two bedrooms are upstairs. It was a comfortable stay and we would stay again. The house does have all the creaks and squeaks of an older home so you may opt for another location if you have a very light sleeper. It was about 5 minutes from a ton of cute shops and restaurants in downtown Salt Lake City.
This little house is very clean & the hosts are friendly & very accommodating. We were visiting the University of Utah & did not have a car, which made the location a little tough for us. If you have a car there is parking. Our only issue was the lack of comfortable furniture, we had long days & wanted to comeback & relax, watch a movie- the sofa by the tv is small & uncomfortable. My son & I could not sit together & there was only an office chair as a second seat. Otherwise it is well stocked with kitchen, bathroom & linens.
My spouse and I enjoyed our stay in this quaint home in Salt Lake City's historic avenues neighborhood. Everything was as expected and described. We walked to a local grocery store about 1/2 mile from the home and prepared 3 meals in the updated kitchen. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs and the kitchen and bath are on the main level, which was fine for us. Being an older home, some of the rooms are a little smaller than what might be expected in a more modern dwelling. We didn't use the laundry area, but did go through the fun little trap door in the kitchen floor to see it. We also didn't use the outdoor space, but the back deck would be a nice spot for a meal or a chat in warmer weather. This home accommodated all of our needs and we had an enjoyable stay.
Overall a great spot for our stay. Walkable neighborhood with some restaurants and coffee shops within a couple blocks. Quirky older home but everything went well.
We had a great time here. There should be a pic of the front of the house. The neighborhood is wonderful to walk, a lot of older historic homes. I think this one might be too. Inside is modern in decor, however. Stairs leading to the two bedrooms upstairs are steep as is in keeping with the age of the house, but only enhances the charm. The owner was very, very responsive which I can't tell you how much I appreciate. Not all are. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done Coty.
The house was beautiful. It may feel a little old at first, but when you walk in, it has modern vibes. The only noticed downside is that there were a few bugs inside the house. Not sure if they were there due to the heat outside, but regardless, other than that, it was perfect.
