We had a great stay in Gatlinburg! The place was super clean, cozy, and well-kept. It was also very pet-friendly — our dog felt right at home. Everything was comfortable and exactly as described. Would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay here, it was just far enough out of town to feel like you are "staying in the mountains" but close enough to easily get back to the action. Beds were comfortable, the hot tub was great, and the back sitting area was beautiful!
The house was very nice and comfortable and is very convenient to all of Gatlinburg! We enjoyed our stay so much. I would only recommend working on the landscaping around the back of the house. It was over grown and made it less enjoyable with the relaxing stream running behind the back porch.
Was wonderful. Has everything you will need. Spacious with large windows. Extra blankets, pillows, fans etc. Great hot tub we with small creek. Also, a cute guest book to sign. Lock car doors, a bear left mud and crawl scratches on my car, as this can happen anywhere in the Smokies.
We absolutely loved our stay at this Little Mountain Retreat! It was the perfect escape for us and our son and daughter-in-law. The cabin was so cozy, and you can tell the owners have truly thought of everything to make guests feel at home.We especially enjoyed the covered back sitting area where we could relax and listen to the babbling creek flow by—such a peaceful touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the large windows in the living room let in so much beautiful natural light during the day. The location couldn’t have been better—close to everything we wanted to do, but without all the traffic. Even the tram stop just a few feet away and was so convenient. This place was everything we hoped for and more. We can’t wait to come back.
I don't normal like to give bad reviews because I know its hard to keep cabins up. I was disappointed in the following things: - It needs a new paint job on walls and doors...lots of paint chips on doors and scuffs on walls. - numerous dishes and coffee cups had pieces missing. It just doesn't feel right to eat or drink out of things when the things are ridged like that nor really safe.- the outside area where the creek is needs cleaning up...you actually had to walk all the way over to the creek to see it because there were so much weeds. - the shower in the bedroom to the left needs to be cleaned better. The grout is dirty and the bottom were the door is was rusty and dirty. The convenience of this place was awesome. It just needs to be cleaned up.
My family and I had a great home, away from home experience. I will most certainly think of you, and hope to stay at your facility if we ever get this direction again. We were hundreds and hundreds and a hundred times 7 miles away from home but we felt secure, cozy, and right at home. The home we stayed at, I call it a home because it was homey and roomy but like I said, comfortable and cozy. The stay was perfect for our perfect vacation. The check-in was simple and flawless. The communications were prompt. We were only about 10 minutes from Gatlinburg but the location was in a beautiful countryside setting. Our slumbers were plentiful, peaceful and comfortable.Thank you Lisa. Thank you Nate.James, JudithSon and grandson
Great location, close to everything! Perfect setting!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Mountain House! It had everything we needed, hosts were great with communication, answered all our questions timely and were very friendly. The location is AMAZING! so close to everything but out of the way enough to feel like you are all alone. The creek that runs behind the house by the hot tub was so relaxing! Was my favorite part. We had a wonderful time and would love to return in the future! Thanks again for allowing us to stay!
Modern with a rustic twist, had everything you'd need. TV room furniture could have been more comfortable/functional but the bedrooms were so spacious and comfy. Bathrooms were gorgeous, decorations adorbs. Loved the porch/hot tub area. Great location.
We were on our way home from a vaction in Maine and decided last minute to extend it by a few days by staying in Gatlinburg. This beautiful home is just minutes from the strip. It was so nice to arrive to this VRBO and relax in the hot tub and listen to the creek after days of driving. The beds are super comfy to rest in after hours of shopping, eating and sampling Tennessee's finest spirits. The Smoky Mountains National park is just a short drive away, also. The hosts were quick to respond with my questions and needs. I'm glad we extended our vacation a few extra days.
Very nice place. Listed as pet friendly but there was no grassy area to walk my pet. Only weeds in the yard. One chair and sofa need replaced. Could not get the dishwasher to work either. But the owner was very communicative with the dishwasher problem and I told him about my concern with the pet issue. Overall I would recommend this place to stay in Gatlingburg.
Nice place it is on a busy road however was not hard to get in and out of the driveway wish they had cut the overgrown weeds in the back but sitting on the back porch listening to the creek running down behind the house was a nice experience
The cabin was nice and cozy. It was also a great location to visit the mountains, pigeon forge and Gatlinburg.

Why they chose this property
It's best to summarize with a review from a guest.
"The Mountain House was a wonderful home away from home for our honeymoon! Lisa was a very attentive host and contacted us throughout the visit. The décor was cute and welcoming, and the kitchen/bathrooms were equipped with everything we needed. The back patio was the best part, with a calming little stream and hot tub for a dip after hiking! We definitely recommend anyone who wants a modern-style cabin to stay here at the Mountain House! Thanks for having us, Lisa :)"
It's an easy drive in and out of the property and conveniently located at the foot of Ober Resort and on the edge of downtown. Easy transportation; awesome hot tub on the creek; back patio with lights; comfortable mattresses...everything you need for an amazing trip.
What makes this property unique
The creek in the back is what everyone talks about. That and our super comfortable mattresses. We have a hot tub in the backyard so you can listen to the creek rushing while sipping drinks or relaxing. We are also very close to literally everything including just a short walk to downtown. We back to Smoky Mountain National Park. You can use the bypass when coming in and out of town making it a breeze to get to and from the property. We are just up Ski Mountain road so we are secluded and private without the need to drive up the steep and winding roads.
