I had a great stay! My host and family were great. I loved the neighborhood. Designated parking for one.Everyone in the main house was good with my pup.My only off experience was the hot tub waiting for repair. Maintenance had already been scheduled but only available my last 3 of 4 weeks. Some things cannot be prevented.

Spanish mother in law apartment

The apartment was nice. Pretty much as advertised, however the parking is on a steep hill and not suitable for older people or handicapped individuals. The manager is very sweet.

Good Set Up

The space is nice, just needs to have a few things set up to make it easier to stay there. Most places I stay have a binder or booklet with information you need (where to put the trash, how to work the TV, the wi-fi passcode) and this place doesn't have one so adding one would make a big difference. Also the person you reach out to for information is not the person who lives upstairs. When I was there they were in another country so it made communication difficult. The fixes are rather easy ones, just might have stayed there early in their VRBO process.

Almost nice

To be fair, I’m picky and I don’t like asking hosts for things that should be there if I have my own supplies or workarounds. That said, this place feels like an afterthought instead of welcoming. Hardly any silverware, ratty dish sponge and no way to stop the kitchen sink (or tub or bath sink). Host did not offer extra TP or PT. 4 remotes and no instructions for TV, which stopped its limited working for us about halfway through our month’s stay. Entry area full of spiderwebs and dust. Giant crack and no screen in 1 of the 2 windows. Great use of mirrors to lighten and brighten. Carpet was crazy shaggy and felt clammy on bare feet. Only one lamp in very dark LR. Overhead lights super bright. Not enough plugs for couch, lamp, and Wi-Fi. The bed was super creaky with every move. Sheer curtains too long for bedroom window, fitted blackout drapes would work better. Coffeemaker and teakettle did not work (I used my own). No ice cube trays. Couldn’t wait to leave.

A few annoyances…

There was no soap provided in bathroom. A decorative but empty and useless piece on the bathroom sink which only took up valuable space. Also had no idea how to use the TV or use the lock on the entrance door.
