Upscale Modern Private Cottage

Our modern little cottage is the perfect getaway spot whether it is for a day, week or month. Being a brand new construction it is up to date on all amenities and you will find yourself very cozy and comfortable! As well as in a great location.

The space
Guests have access to the whole house. Upstairs roof top and owners private basketball court. We have a separate fenced and gated yard if you are travelling with your dogs. Very centrally located to everything. East-side and 20 minutes from down town Seattle. Excellent location!

Hassle free check-in. Host quickly responded to all my questions. Replenished any supplies needed. The cottage was convenient to our family nearby, and the freeway for quick access to downtown Seattle and other areas. The kitchen was great for preparing a hearty breakfast before heading out each day. Two full bathrooms was a definite plus.

We stayed here for two nights (Friday–Sunday) with three adults and a dog. Overall, the stay was okay, but it was quite different from what we expected and there some things we wanted to point out.Guests should know this is not as private as the listing may suggest. We regularly heard noise from downstairs, and the neighboring house is very close. The property also sits right off the highway, so traffic noise was noticeable at night.The basketball court was a highlight, and our dog enjoyed the fenced dog area. However, comfort was our biggest concern. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and everyone woke up with sore necks. The upstairs also stayed pretty cold despite repeated attempts to increase temperature.A few amenities fell short. We could not locate extra blankets despite being told they were available. The rooftop balcony was especially disappointing. It appeared unfinished, with a sunken roof area, broken stairs, an abandoned-looking fireplace, and minimal furniture. It felt more like a storage space than a usable outdoor area.The property overall felt somewhat under construction, with damaged fixtures and unfinished-looking details throughout. Parking can also be difficult, particularly for larger vehicles.While the basketball court and dog-friendly features were appreciated, guests looking for a quiet private stay may want to consider elsewhere.

Hi Chance, I’m sorry you feel this way. Now to address your concerns. We have heat and AC in every room all you had to do is change the mode to heat as it was in the AC mode. You asked where the extra blankets were and we informed you it was in the small grey couch which opens up, there’s extra blankets and pillows in there. I noticed you didn’t even open that and use them. If you didn’t know how to change the mode to heat all you had to do was ask? You are right about one thing we do have temporary construction going on. Our high light as a bonus is the roof top which is also going thru an upgrade right now. We are constantly upgrading. All the amenities were still not out as it was raining here in Seattle like you mentioned it has been cold. Pillows really are a very personal preference, we have had previous guests say the beds and comfort was great. As you can read from previous 5 star reviews noise has never been an issue as the house and windows are very well insulated. Your harsh review is quite the contrary and if you had these concerns while staying I wish they were mentioned while you were here so questions could have been addressed. Thank you for your stay.

Great location

The property location is just what we needed. Host was very responsive. The rooms were comfortable; the kitchen was clean and has all amenities. Guests sensitive to sound should realize that there is a highway 100 ft away with road noise, although indoors with the windows closed it's not bad. There was some lint on the sheets and dust bunnies under the couch with minor litter but otherwise everything was fine.
