About this property
Solar powered farm retreat includes 2 bonus tiny cabins!
Experience a WORKING (formerly Amish) farm in the heart of rural southwest Montana. Off-grid yet cozy, we are the perfect fit for large families or groups looking to escape the stress of the city for a unique farm experience. Your experience will be rustic, grounded, and exclusive. Local attractions include Hot Springs, Hiking, Rafting, Biking, Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowmobiles, Theater, Hunting, Fly Fishing, ATVs, Caverns, National Parks, Ringing Rocks, and Mining Towns. We are also conveniently located near Copper K Barn and historic Twin Bridges Round Barn. We are 17 minutes S of I-90.
Included in your reservation is an entire 3 bedroom/1 bath family apartment and two separate private tiny cabins that each include their own bathroom and kitchen.
Our off-grid Family Apartment utilizes all three of our guest rooms, kitchen, private bathroom, and living space located in the private downstairs apartment of our formerly Amish Farmhouse. (We live upstairs in separate quarters.) Unplug and enjoy a taste of the Amish life - without leaving your conveniences like lights, electricity, Wifi, and hot water (without having to boil it yourself like we did when we first arrived). We don't have a TV, but we do provide some board games. Renova Hot Springs is just a mere 6 miles away if you want to enjoy a rustic experience beside the Jefferson river. We maintain redundant High-Speed Internet with download speeds averaging 100 Mbps so you can stay connected.
We are an active farm, so do not expect the "Ritz" or any fancy gardens. We do have free-range poultry, so do expect some animal droppings on the property. Experience the stars as you've never seen them before. Our views are unbeatable and your experience with us will be memorable. Bring your binoculars - you never know when you might get a glimpse of the majestic Montana wildlife! Meet the farm animals or watch for bald eagles and deer and even possibly meet our resident moose family. We are surrounded by National Forest and untamed rivers that make us the perfect location for your next adventure.
You may also experience animal and/or equipment noise during your stay. You may experience our family doing chores/farm projects that sometimes happen late at night or early in the morning. We do our best to respect your privacy and rest, but sometimes noise, equipment, and lights are unavoidable.
Guest access: Front door entrance for the apartment is shared with us the hosts but once you get down the stairs the apartment has it's own private entrance. We are located in the country so be aware that most restaurants and urban attractions will be 20-45 minutes away. We do offer a Farm to Table breakfast menu. The road getting to the property is partial pavement and partial gravel. Our gravel driveway is 1/2 mile long. We enjoy the stars so we do not have security lights in the parking areas. There is parking available next to the house for up to 4 vehicles, and each tiny home has parking for 1 each. Please notify us if you plan to bring more than 6 vehicles so we can discuss parking options.
ATTENTION SERVICE ANIMAL OWNERS: Although the service animal industry holds a special place in our hearts and we have even specifically bred service dogs for Puppies for Patriots in the past, we want you to know that our farm is not a safe retreat for your valuable animal. We have working livestock guardian dogs who's job it is to deter any strange animals from being here for the protection of our menagerie of farm animals. Our guardians are very friendly towards people but your animal would be viewed as a hostile intruder. For the safety of your animal, please don't book our farm stay if they must be with you. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience but we want the very best for your animal as well as ours. Thank you for understanding.

Beautiful, peaceful and pastoral with a lovely view of the mountains under the big sky of Montana! The hosts are helpful and gracious, having anticipated all of our needs with accommodations that are cozy, comfortable and charming. This is the place to unwind!
We rented all the cabins and the main apartment for a group of friends and their kids. It was a nice set up with a space for families to get away. It has nice proximity to lakes a rivers for daytime adventures. The house was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The only thing we would have liked is screen doors on the cabins for cooling off at night. The apartment stayed nice and cool.

About the host
Hosted by Michael and Jenessa Manley
We enjoy the adventure of life. Our family works together, plays together and generally just has a good time doing life together. Living is SW Montana has given us a great opportunity to raise our kids in the dirt, with animals, learning hands-on responsibility.
