The location of this house and the wonderful porch and river access are fantastic. Our kids loved independently roaming the gravel bar. We brought floats and floated from Van Buren to the house twice. So much fun, even for the 8 yr old! 2 hrs - mostly shallow with minor rapids. If you hope to share cooked meals, you will find the very small kitchen with its few cabinets and minimal counter space frustrating. However, the outdoor grill was super and all the kitchen implements we needed were provided. The poor quality of the bedding was surprising at this price point, but overall, what we needed was there and we had a great time.
This property was perfect for our annual girls trip. The location was great to spend time right on the river but still conveniently located so we could go into town for dinner.
Very comfortable, great location. Will definitely use again.

The photos on VRBp looked great, very small bedrooms and truly very basic furniture but showed a huge screened in porch that overlooked the river. When we got there the first thing we noticed was three of the floor to ceiling screens had huge rips in them (storm had gone through several weeks before apparently). The porch couches and loungers were so dirty (black marks and dirt, dust) that we weren't comfortable sitting on them. Inside there were bugs on the floor and very sparse kitchen utensils. The bedding was very worn and towels were old and faded. One roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. There was a grill on the patio below but had so much grease on the bottom (and no grill utensils to be found) that flames shot seven feet in the air when grill lit. Finally the owner is not very responsive to emails or texts. We tried numerous times to log in to wifi using instructions only to figure out that the wifi we were told to use was incorrect (we tried all the ones that popped up and eventually found one that worked). Not sure if the owner ever responded to my daughters text regarding that. All in all, Current river is a beautiful river but for 800 a night, well my rating tells you what we thought.
Clean cabin with your own private access to the river. The screened in deck was amazing. The gnats are terrible so bring plenty of bug spray. That's why the deck is amazing. It's was a quiet peaceful weekend. We also got to see 3 bald eagles all weekend.
Stayed 3 nights with friends to kayak Current River. Easy access to the private sandbar from the house. Very short walk. Beautiful views of the river from the screened in porch. House was clean and had everything we needed. Just a few minutes drive to town and the Landing. Will definitely stay again!
Amazing spot on the river. Pics don't do it justice.

Property is shared with others
Nice view, but despite assurances that the property was not shared with other guests, there were people coming and going during the day and night , including visitors and even people camped out in a camper in the yard….no privacy
The house was easy to find per Brian's instructions and the views and location were ideal. Lots of boats on Saturday, but it didn't deter us from lounging in the river all afternoon. Most needed water therapy!
The house was very comfortable and the screened in porch was amazing! We saw deer and geese and an adorable chubby little ground hog.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you, Brian for sharing this gem of a property.
We loved everything about it it was perfect the only thing is maybe weed eat a little further down for fire pit didn't have as many bugs but it's outside in the middle of summer so the bugs will be there we had issue with air conditioning the host was fast to respond and fix it we will definitely do it again
Rental was clean inside, but the deck area needs attention. There was a thick layer of pollen on all the furniture, and a dead bird in the center of the floor. It was filthy. It appeared as if the deck hadn't had attention or cleaning for a long time. It definitely was not prepared fir the rental.
Host was Johnny on the spot when we had a couple of questions.
The pictures don’t give this place justice! It’s so nice and clean and has everything you need!
Sits right on the river and even has tubes to use!
Be sure to check out the link provided when you book. I thought it was just a what band is playing for the weekend link but it has what’s going on in the area as well. If I would have clicked on the link I would have seen they had boat races that weekend and could have planned accordingly!!
It was a perfect house for the perfect weekend!
We really enjoyed the view and the access to water. The kids were able to play and we were able to sit and watch them. The house was nice but the kitchen is small and doesn’t have a lot of utensils to use. The bed were not made when we arrived but there were sheets piled on the beds. There also were not a lot of towels. We did find them in the dryer when we went to wash the towels that we had used. I just figured the beds would be made and the towels would be put away when we had gotten there since we pay a cleaning fee. Other than these things the house was nice and we enjoyed our stay.
