Catskills Cabin with Hot Tub near Hiking

Summary:
Welcome to Omi Cabin, our stylish mountain retreat, minutes from Belleayre Mountain. Here you can relax in the hot tub, snuggle up around the fireplace in the professionally decorated living room or cook your favorite meal in the full kitchen. Or if you’re looking for a change of scenery to work remotely, we have a desk and strong WiFi for that, too.

The outdoor deck offers seating, a brand new hot tub, and a gas grill where you can relieve your stress away under the stars. There is also a fire pit for long evenings.

The Space:
This is a private house with parking included in front. The two bedrooms offer comfortable accommodations for up to four guests, and the full kitchen has all of the basics you may need, coffee included!

The wooded backyard is at the base of a mountain offering beautiful scenery and privacy. The deck is a great place for grilling and relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring the Catskills.

We are minutes away from Phoenicia and about 25 minutes away from the famous town of Woodstock, where you have access to fine dining, shopping and some amazing art displays. We are about 25 minutes away from Hunter Mountain and Bellearye Mountain ski resorts. We have a bit of everything for varying taste and interest, depending on the time of year, there is always something different to do. Our WiFi is very strong we have had many guest work remotely on multiple devices with NO issues.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the house and yard. Feel free to explore the beautiful grounds!

The Neighborhood:
**This is a private neighborhood with year round residents, so please be mindful to respect their peace and quiet.**

The Shankdanken Dog & Agility Center is a great dog park just a four minute walk down the road if you're bringing your four-legged best friend along for the trip.

Getting Around:
There is no mass transit readily available, so a vehicle will be needed for distance exploring. For trips in and around town you may be able to get an Uber, but not guaranteed.

Other Things to Note:
Please note we do have a pet fee of $50 per pet under 50 lbs. Advise how many along with type and weight. Pets are not allowed on beds nor furniture; any signs of pet hair as such will be assessed an additional cleaning fee. Also any furniture that is moved around and not placed back to original location will be assessed additional fee.

We also provide one bundle of firewood per stay. Each additional bundle is $15.

Please read the house manual thoroughly.

Our check out time is at 10 am. Any late check out will be assessed $100 fee per hour, as our cleaning staff are on a tight schedule and need the allotted time to deep clean and sanitize for the next guest. We may be able to accommodate an early check in or late checkout for $25/hr if arranged ahead of time.

We ask that you not leave food outside or on the grill as we do have very curious animal neighbors.

This property is off a main road with parking directly in front of the house and a few steps up to the front door. If you do have animals or young children, please use caution near the roadway.
ALL pets should be on a leash or supervised carefully as the yard is no fenced in.

Perfect location for a trip to the Catskills, near some great hiking and popular spots (like Phoenicia Diner). We appreciated that it felt very secluded and private, even so near to the town. We also brought our dog and she had a lovely time.The space is clean, well-equipped, and cozy, and the host was very responsive before and during the stay. Highly recommend this stay!

Great cabin close to Bellayre and Hunter Mtns and Phoenicia. It's about a 30 min drive to Woodstock though. Clean and cozy with a great fireplace and a nice hot tub. Only complaints are the TV had no service and wasn’t a smart TV and the oven didn’t work. Bring games because they only had two. Also maybe bring an extension cord or a power strip because there aren't too many outlets.

Property was at a great location. The home was very charming and comfortable. I gave it a four star rating because there were a few maintenance issues, the most important one was the front step railing was very loose and wobbly. That being said, we had a very pleasant stay

This cute, comfortable cottage is a great home base to explore the Catskills in all directions. While we did not cook on this trip, the kitchen is well stocked with kitchen ware. The washer/dryer was a great help to refresh clothes for flying home.

We had a lovely stay relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire place. As other reviews have noted, the location listed on Vrbo is about 5 miles from the location. But still convenient to Phoenicia and nearby hiking. The host was very responsive and all communications were clear.

Peaceful and charming retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy and charming cabin. The location is perfect for the plethora of local hikes and convenient for small town amenities and other quaint Catskills features. We enjoyed the Phoenician diner and you are a short drive from Woodstock, Kingston and many other great Catskills areas. We unwound in the hot tub after long hikes and settled in for cozy nights with the working fireplace (lucky for us since there was a burn ban prohibiting outdoor fires). Our dog and us were comfortable and very pleased with our stay and recommended it to friends.

We loved the rustic charm of the cabin. It was very clean inside. We did not used the hot tub, it was not flush to the deck, with no railing attached and was set back like half a foot, seemed like a slip and fall risk. The back door and basement door were unlocked when we were looking around the house, that made us a little uncomfortable. We did have a great time and really enjoyed the back deck with an amazing view of the night sky.

We had a nice stay here. We enjoyed the fire pit every night. The hot tub was nice but hard to get in and out of. If you have any physical limitations it can be tricky. The railway bikes nearby were a lot of fun.

Lovely exchange with the owner/property manager. Beds were very comfy. Location was close to a playground for our toddler. Hot tub was nice. Details in cleaning could have been tighter and some basic things were missing for cooking/bbqing and cleaning. But overall it was a pleasurable experience.

Not anything like that is pictured .Definitely needs an update the bedrooms were ok but we paid alot to stay here couldn't take a shower as the water was either cold or so hot it burned you we spent alot of time chasing bugs that came in around the air conditioning that was taped in to the windows and the patio and furniture if you want to call it that either was so disgusting or so dirty you could not sit on it not to mention the pile of broken stuff Can not explain how embarrassing it was to bring my friends here and thanks so much to Verbo support for nothing we won't be using them again

Charming Cabin, but it needs some work

The cabin was a cozy stop for my partner, our dog, and me during a week-long road trip. Beautifully decorated, it featured nice touches like a hot tub and fireplace which were great after a day of hiking. We enjoyed some delicious handmade pot pies from a nearby farmer's market store. We also hiked trails that were within a reasonably short distance from the cabin. Something to note, the cabin does needs maintenance. A light switch was missing its cover in a bedroom exposing capped electrical wires, carpenter ants were in the kitchen, dead bugs and a few mouse droppings were on the window sills, and the kitchen sink sprayed water everywhere due to a missing screen. Also, the hot tub was challenging to get in/out of since there wasn't a railing or steps, and the lighting on the back porch at night was poor.While we appreciated the cabin's charm, we wouldn't return due to the needed TLC.

Not Phoenicia

The house was charming with comfortable beds and a cozy living room. The outside furniture should be replaced as my dog got her leg caught in the wrought iron table leg. As for the location, I was disappointed that we were not at the advertised location, this property was located 6 miles west of Phoenicia in Shandaken. I had made various plans and had to adjust for the extra distance. We did not use the hot tub or fire pit. The decor is very cozy and comfortable, however don't attempt to play any of the records there as the record player is for show only.
