The cabin was a little more run down than we had expected. Things broken such as a shower door, bedroom doors not locking, the dishwasher is broken but still functional. The water was the worst part. It smelled very strongly of sulfur all week. Anytime you took a shower, washed dishes, or got in the hot tub you could smell it. I was told it was possibly due to recent storms affecting the shared well but I would expect the property owner to have some additional water treatment/purifier options in place to remedy this. There is a water softener but that was all. We ended up buying bottled water to drink and brush teeth with because the smell/taste was so bad.

We use a community well, so the water quality this guest experienced at the cabin is the same as what other guests experienced at all other cabins in this vicinity during his stay. We filter the water twice: once through a whole-house filter and again through a water softener. We do not use house water in the hot tub. We truck it in from another location.

Great place to stay if you are planning a float trip through Shenandoah River outfitters, as we were. Only thing we wished we had were some oven mitts for our dinners. I donā€™t ding the host on that - I bet people walk off with stuff. But they are needed. Also - save the WiFi info for when you get there bc the service isnā€™t good and it took me a while to get connected bc I needed to open the app to get the info. Everything was clean and great for a weekend away with several friends. Loved that it was dog friendly without a bunch of hassle or extra fees since we have well behaved dogs we love to travel with. Definitely bring bug spray but we loved sitting on the porch and just BSing together into the evening.

Located in a quiet neighborhood. Great for taking walks! Our dog enjoyed exploring the area on our walks. He even made friends with another dog up the street. Spent the nights sitting by the fire then hopping in the hot tub. Loved the hot tub!! Cabin was clean and communication with the host was excellent!

We loved this house! Perfect place for my friends and I to have a relaxing weekend. We hiked, went to Luray Caverns and enjoyed the house. The house was perfectly cleaned and had so much space. We especially loved the outdoor area- the hot tub, fire pit, grill and backyard space overall. We look forward to returning!

Perfect location

With Easy access to tubing, kayaking, and near by hikes, we love this place and canā€™t wait to come back again! Enough room for everyone to relax and enjoy the Shenandoah, we cannot recommend this place enough!

Comfortable stay!
