About this property

Cozy Log Cabin with Sauna EV Charger and Wood Stove

Bluestone Cabin, named for its traditional Catskill stacked stone landscaping, is where you'll enjoy an old-fashioned Catskills stay in comfort and privacy on 6.5 wooded acres above the quaint village of Margaretville. Minutes from skiing, golfing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails, trout fishing and Village shops and eateries, our cozy log cabin is equipped with a country kitchen, wood stove, central heat/AC, 200 Mbps Wifi, 65" Smart TV with SLING, fire pit, charcoal grill, Swedish sauna and much more!

New for the summer - Tetherball, corn hole, bocce and horseshoes!

Bluestone can accommodate five: one bedroom has a king-sized bed, the other has a twin, and the living room's two rotating, reclining futon chairs push together for a king-sized bed.

Need more space? The Love Shack is now open YEAR ROUND! For an additional fee of $100 per night and $50 cleaning fee, guests may rent this cozy, private studio. It has a Queen bed, mid-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishes and cutlery, Keurig coffee maker, Fujitsu split heat/AC unit, WIFI, TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, Echo Dot with Amazon music subscription, and a bathroom with shower. Only rented to the same party as the main cabin.

Back in the main cabin you'll find a wood burning stove, eero WIFI router, large screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, games, assorted books, and an Echo Dot with an unlimited Amazon music subscription, outdoor shower and NEW OUTDOOR PING PONG TABLE (available April through October)!

The cabin's country kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, under-counter(mini) refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cutlery, and basic seasonings to cook.

Bluestone's private cedar barrel sauna is on the back deck. The sauna is equipped with a large picture window facing the woods, and a rotating timer. The deck also has comfortable outdoor seating- cushions and pillows are kept in the deck box.

Guests have exclusive access to the property except for the garage.

Bluestone is located right off a quiet, dead end county road on a mountain flanking the quaint Village of Margaretville. Take a 4-minute drive down the mountain into the village to explore its eclectic mix of old and new shops, restaurants, antique stores, art galleries or shop its convenient supermarket! And there's so much more to see and do! Check out our local guidebook with Host recommendations on things to do and places to eat!

For sports and adventure, Bluestone's location is phenomenal. The cabin is close to Bellayre and Plattekill ski resorts, numerous trails, Meadows Golf Center, canoeing and kayaking on the Pepacton Reservoir, trout fishing on the Beaverkill River, the historic Red Barn Farmers Market, the Ark Bowl & BBQ, an eclectic 120‐seat restored 1960's era vintage 8 lane bowling alley! Bluestone is a short drive (4.3 miles) from Kelsey Grammer’s seasonal tavern, Faith American Brewing Co., located on the actor's pastoral dairy farm.

Please make sure to verify hours and opening times for all destinations. Most of all, enjoy the natural beauty of the Western Catskills!

A vehicle is necessary to get around. There is no or limited Uber or transportation services in the area.

In the winter months when snow is likely (October through April) AWD or 4WD is recommended along with all weather or snow tires with good tread.

Nice getaway
Wonderful little cabin just far enough away from town to feel remote, but close enough that everything isnt a far drive.

Beautiful location and fun place to stay
Me and my husband enjoyed the cabin and my 83 yr old mom enjoyed her privacy in the shack. Both are very comfortable with nice amenities. The kitchen's in both were laid out well. We had what we needed to cook and with the shack's full size refrigerator and the cabins small one, it worked out just fine. The town is very friendly with great hiking areas and shopping nearby. It would have been nice if the management company was easier to work with, but that didn't deter from our stay.

Green Heaven
Delicious secluded cabin in the heart of nature, with deer, chipmunks & a hummingbird. Great base for exploring east or north, but really looked forward to returning in the evening. Really sad to leave.

Cute and cozy little cabin!
We stayed here with our 2 young kids. Its a cozy little cabin. We wanted peace and quiet and it was a great place for that. Cabin had everything we were looking for. Had fun playing ping pong and board games. There are some good hikes nearby. Bugs in the backyard can be annoying but that's expected in an area like this one. Owner was very prompt in responding to our questions.
